Froch is running his mouth about Bute constantly, Ward is calm and cool

i think ward has enough stamina to take it by dicision, he is quick and if he can, he will avoid froch in later round when he goes wild with punches.

I just haven't seen Ward in real deep water yet.Who knows,he may thrive on it,but Froch is a seasoned war veteran, hence my opinion.:good

I did not rate them. At present, there seems to be a kind of consensus between ESB users about the best 4 SMW being (in alphabetical order) Bute, Froch, Kessler and Ward. The only possibility to rate them with high objective standards is to put them fight together on neutral ground a big number of matches. But this has not happened yet. Not even the six minimal pairings between 4 fighters occurred: the only two fights actually available are Froch's loss with Kessler and Ward's win with the same Kessler. This could be a very loose indication of Froch < Kessler < Ward; if Ward wins the S6 the three-men mini-ranking would be slightly confirmed, if Froch wins, the mini-ranking would become quite meaningless. Since Bute has not fought any of the three yet, it is simply impossible to assign him a really meaningful ranking with respect to the three: he could be as well on top, on bottom, or somewhere in middle. The same holds for the eventual S6 winner with respect to Bute: he might be stronger as well as weaker. We need far more input data (read: inter-matches outcomes) to decide about meaningful rankings. For the moment and in all fairness, the winner of S6 will be nothing more and nothing less than the eventual winner of a good tournament.

    LE:
OMG, that can of worms again!
FWIW: no, it is not OK to call Froch a "mental ******".
    However,
    1. you still did not acknowledged that it was not a real call but merely a unfortunate way of speaking with a different meaning (have you ever followed "Courage, the cowardly dog"?! the dog sometimes uses a somehow similar way of speaking when saying something like "we're in trouble or my name is $a_really_unrealistic_name... and it is not!" which implies of course they're in trouble)
    2. even if the call you have in mind would have been serious (which it wasn't), it was from a rather anonymous internet user, while the not-OK behavior for a gentleman I was criticizing is of the public character and box fighter Carl Froch.

the fact ward likes to get inside when pressured as not get hit in close proximaty (sorry for my spelling) or to clinch, will be more difficult against bute as he has good power even in close combat, just look at all his ko's, most of them are when fighters try to get close to him. i respect your opinion but i think bute can take him. cant wait untill all these fight happen. long live boxing:bbb:bbb

Let's put this to bed once and for all.
What has Froch said that is so terribly offensive and goes beyond the normal boundaries of Boxing "Trash Talk"?
You should have been around when people like Tyson,Mayorga and Vargas were fighting. That sensitive little soul of yours would have been appalled!

No, it doesn't go beyond boxing "normal boundaries". I simply take note that Ward (and by the same token, Bute) do not use the "normal" boxing trash talk. So one can live also without trash talking the eventual opponents, the badmouthing is not a matter of necessity in boxing but a matter of personal choice. I don't stand with the choice made by Froch: it's still against usual gentleman-like behavior, even if it's a current practice of many boxers. I stand with the notion of fair play I learned many years ago from my uncle, an ex-sportsman.

    A genuine question;
What is your opinion of someone like Mayweather then?
It does sell fights that otherwise would struggle.Over here we've had that proven with Groves-DeGale lately.
I'd ask you to consider that Froch knows Ward and Bute have no crossover appeal, and outside fans and core boxing communities, these guys have little or no appeal.Froch is probably doing them both a favour.

you usually trash talk your opponent if you go to his home.this way more of his fans will pay a ticket to see you loose.it's a way of making him face and be yourself the villain.this is not the case here, froch will want to face bute in notthingham if he win super6,or at least in london.how do you sell your on tickets by telling your fans: hello, come see me fight,i'm gonna fight a bum next who has no skill nor a resume.so no,this trash talking of bute is :
1:-he know he will lose and he is preparing to go to montreal to get back in the game - 5%
2:-he thinks he will win and he is preparing to duck bute and fight a tomato can for his first defence in front of his fans -95% - thing is no one will blame him if he does that,he is trash talking bute for nothing, just like kessler

An insightful and measured post indeed.Have you ever thought of teaching?
Points 1 and 2 are laughable codswallop.

ok,enlighten us,why is froch trash talking bute and how will sell more tickets if the fight is made in uk? and don't forget that bute is not saying anything, the worst he said about froch was "i'll shut his mouth in the ring".

No fight has been made for the UK,Montreal or Timbuk****intoo!
Outside the groups I mentioned, there is no interest in Ward,Bute or even Froch for that matter. If he talks up a potential fight by creating a bit of a stir(I haven't seen this yet, despite numerous accusations to the contrary) it might be good for all concerned. However deluded you might be,while the S6 is still alive,Bute needs Froch far more than the reverse.

And you obliterate any chance of informed debate when you make ridiculous and completely unsubstantiated points like you did in the post with 5% and 95% nonsense. If you're here for reasonable debate and points fine,if not, then you win,I'm owned, bumped whatever.I am no match for your frivilous waffling.
