Kessler and Bute both have many better opponents on their resume than Jean Pascal. We can debate on Taylor being the best win of the three men but not Jean Pascal. No way.

It's difficult to rank 168 right now. Froch has the best recent win. Kessler is the most established fighter at 168. Head to head I'd take Bute and Kessler both over Froch.

After watching Taylor/Froch, I would not let anybody with a good 1-2 anywhere near Froch. You just can't miss the guy with left hands. Consequently guys like Kessler and Pavlik, who have freaking hammers for left hands, would find Froch to be a very, very basic opponent: jab-jab/right hand/close with a hook, wash-rinse-repeat, and Froch goes down and stays down inside 8 rounds.

I think a lot of people are missing the real reason Froch looks so clumsy. It's his foot positioning. He keeps his lead foot way to far out in front of his back foot. Consequently he stands at an absurd angle that causes him to give up a substantial portion of his effective reach, and makes it damn near impossible for him to move laterally.

The low hands are an obvious problem, and a big part of what makes him so easy to hit. A low guard is one of my pet peeves. If you ain't Roy Jones, Tommy Hearns, or Muhamed Ali, KEEP YOUR ****ING HANDS UP!!! Unless Froch improves his defensive Prowess ten fold, the first time he meets a big puncher with good fundamentals, he'll get knocked the **** out.

I say that because I live in Montreal, where both men fights are televised. I watched more than 12 of Jean Pascal fights, almost all of Bute fights. I like both and was cheering for Pascal when he fought Froch, even if my brains told me he would lose. I do know both men, you don't. Anyone saying Jean Pascal is a better win than Andrade is himself a nuthugger. Pascal still doesn't have a single win against a top 20.

Pascal impressed in his showing against Froch because it LOOKED impressive. But honestly, Froch is very easy to hit. Pascal didn't need to look for him at all, he just threw punches and they landed.

    Bute would shoutout Froch.

Yes, and it occurs Bute and Kessler both have an excellent footwork. Jean Pascal moves fast but his footwork is not accurate, like Jermaine Taylor. That's why both lost to Froch.

Footwork is the only chapter where I have Bute over Kessler. The dane is way too imobile IMO.But he compensates.A lot.

Thread starter is desillusional, Froch is good but far from the numer one spot, outboxed by Taylor and winning vacant belt against Pascal....:patsch.

Is it me or every time there is an English fighter making some noise, there is an entire army behind him thinking he is God.

No disrespect to sober English supporters who see Froch as a big hearted, heavy handed, exciting fighter...with a lot of flaws.
