Froch - "It's annoying that Amir Khan and David Haye are....

froch is a british fighter and a world champ to boot so we should be proud of the guys achievements however froch imo is badly promoted and rather than bleating on about khan haye etc he should ask the man who promotes him why other fighters who have not delivered as exciting performances as him like the fight against jean pascal and have had easier opponents(khan espically) are makin more money and recieving more coverage thn he is
anyway all this moaning and negaitivty concerns me so close to the most important fight of his career when he should be focusing on kessler and nothing else

 

I like Froch as a Boxer, he is one of those guys with a genuine fighters heart, proven against Taylor. But as a bloke..he sounds like more of a c**t each day when he starts ranting and raving about Calzaghe and other boxers like Haye and Khan. Khan got the free pass that most boxers winning Olympic medals do these days in the UK albeit his was much more valuable being the ONLY one in his year to get the medal and his young age etc etc. Haye... he has achieved a hell of a lot in such a short number of fights and forged his own reputation and marketability. If Froch wants to do the same he should tell fat Mick to f*** off. Simple as. It is a disgrace that someone like Froch fighting a guy like Taylor was shown in the UK delayed or as he is now... on some two bit TV Chanel called Primetime TV. But he needs to shoulder much of the responsibility for that himself, especially now that so many boxers are starting up their own promotions company. My suggestion...sign up with Calzaghe promoitions

 

Khan is on ITV not SBO, Froch and co had a chance with ITV, but his promoter ruined it putting on god awful shows.

 

Its such a shame Froch isn't on Sky. It's done loads for Haye. If Sky had been promoting Froch's last 3-4 fights he would be huge.

 

On the plus side for Froch, he's getting regular television in America right now and Hayes' last fight wasn't shown there. I'm not sure if Khan vs Malinaggi is but I'd guess so.

Should promote himself like Haye does if he wants to be on Sky, people on the street do not even know who Froch is, Sky won't bother putting his fights on SBO for a handful of serious boxing fans.

Good article. I dont think the Box office thing has anything to do with the schedule. Sky could open a window for froch its just the money Frock and hennessy want is too much. Like it or not the casual has no idea who froch is. Why he stays with hennessy baffles me?

When you look at Khan I can't see how you can say Froch isn't charismatic. Khan can barely utter a coherant sentence but yet he's wanted by all and sundry.

Froch is 100% correct to feel pissed off imo.

 

Quite easily, Froch isn't charismatic, he is the Victor Meldrew of boxing, should smile once in a while, get a better promoter, stop whining every two weeks, and get himself a man bag.

I like Froch at times, but when he goes on about Joe, I feel like cringing. It's painful. Make your own name, don't live off your unrequited desires.

Plus, Haye's just been canny in his opponent choice. Plus he's very easy on the eye. Froch is not.
