Simply CANNOT understand all the distain towards Carl Froch. Hes an intelligent, and articulate when he speaks and his dry humour and wit is just pure comedy. He tells it EXACTLY how it is and thats what id rather hear.

To be honest i think hes 100% correct to be annoyed with the way he is treated by British media. Here we have a man reguarly fighting the best out of principle, involved in exciting wars with Pascal and taylor, fought Dirrell in a TOURNAMENT to decide without doubt who the best supermiddleweight is, and now defending his hard earned world belt again against another top level opponant, and yet he CANT get himself shown on a decent Britsh TV channel?? That is not only astonishing but its an absolute disgrace!

Meanwhile over on SKY, Amir Khan is being paid millions to take on weak cherrypicked opponants like Dmitry Salita!!!! And he gets all the credit and exposure in the world for it. Or David Haye (who i actually like) but hes still only taking on fat old boring heavyweights, why THAT should be on Box office over the super6 is beyond me.

So its Khan v Kotelnik and Khan vs Salita on Box office...or its Carl Froch in the super 6 taking on REAL opponants! I know what il be watching.

Honestly i fully understand why hes more than a bit pissed off with the whole thing. Its ****ing unfair and a load of bollocks

I don't dislike many people that I haven't met, but I find you a particularly odious little man :thumbsup....keep the racial undertones out of boxing you ****.

 

Taco Bell is obviously a WUM, but even that doesnt excuse the disgustingly racist thing he said, that should be kept off here.

Froch really is an enigma, he's got everything going for him, he's a genuine champion, he's got a former Miss Maxim as a gf, he's in exciting fights against really good fighters, in a once in a generation tournament, he's witty even tho he does have his Alan Partridge moments, leads in head first in his fights, is all about heart and courage, he should be the Gatti of the SMW division, yet certain things about his character jsut dont make him appealing to some hardcore boxing fans.

Also the fact the last time he was on ITV1 live, his fight didnt start till midnight against some no-hoper, thx to the Witter-Bradley fight being top of the bill, blame Fat Mick for this, his cards were dreadful.

 

Mick had a deal with ITV, he put on god awful shows, ITV ran accordingly. Hence, it begs the question, does Froch know how awful his promoter is.

 

He's not awful, he put Froch and his family in a ford transit van to go home after the Dirrel fight. How you can say the man isnt doing his job is beyond me.

 

I used to hate Froch due to his constant Calzaghe stalking, but due to his fighting style(?) and his willingness to fight tough fighters you cant help but admire the fella.

On one hand he is correct in a certain sense because what he has done pisses all over what Khan has done yet Khan is the recognised "star" in the UK.

Also, its a toss up imo on him and Haye, on what they have so far achieved as professionals.

But, Froch has only got his promoter and himself to blame. His promoter for being **** and himself for not realising that his promoter is ****.

pretty much agree with this,it would **** me off as well,
here i am carl froch fighting my way up to world contention,then win world title,then have some of the toughest 1st defences,i could possibly have,with no quarms,no moaning,i just get on with it.
then along comes khan,on the back of a pretty good silver medel at ht olympics,then a big shamble of a fix of a fight with kinderlin,before ihe turns pro,to get more exposure and money with mr warren.
then a hop skip and a jump,i fighting probley one of the worst world champs at the time,at any weight(khans words as well),and the easiest defence ever,by any boxer(anyone remember anymore?),for millions.

froch sees like a top bloke,quite funny,while khan comes over as a bit dim.
both good blokes though,both good boxers,but i think froch will go further,he already hs in my eyes(im gonna get some real **** for that statment:hey)
