Froch - "It's annoying that Amir Khan and David Haye are........

It's annoying that people don't like you Carl but you maybe you should try and develop a likeable personality...

 

I've seen him speak once, probably at the request of a director, and he was shot down by Gary Shaw.

He just has this grin that says "I'm just pleased to be here"!

I didn't interpret it as a slight to his fellow British champions; more that he was annoyed that the media hasn't granted him similar levels of coverage. I don't even know that's the case. ESB Brits, is he nowhere nearly as popular/renowned in the UK as Khan & Haye?

 

Nah, the average joe in Britain doesn't even know who Froch is, whereas Khan/Haye are pretty well known by all.

Froch is well known in Britain, but he is by no means a household name i.e. he won't attract non-boxing fans to buy a PPV. Whereas plenty of people in the UK who know very little about boxing will buy a Haye or Khan fight.

I kinda understand his frustration. In the past year or so, he's shown far more ambition and guts than Calzaghe did his whole career. He's competing with best Super Middle-weights in the world in a very tough competition, and is getting very little recognition from the British public.

But with that said, constantly talking trash about other British fighters doesn't make him look too good. I can understand you not liking Calzaghe as he was in your division (and he's a d*ck-head himself too), but the likes of Khan have nothing to do with you and have never spoken a word about you, what's that going to achieve? Hating on them just makes you out to be a bitter git.

I'm probably the only who has this opinion, but Froch and Calzaghe are practically the same (except Froch's a better talker). They both can't/couldn't stand to see fellow country men do well.....

- Calzaghe hating on Lewis, Naz, and Khan
- Froch hating on Haye, Calzaghe, and Khan

Like Paulie mentioned the other day, too much hating can be bad for your health

both lack charisma. calzaghe's got as much charisma as a lump of turd on the ground.

 

yea he does sound a bit whiney etc, but he does have a valid point in that look at kan, haye and froch, all world champions, look at their last 3 fights - the level of opposition and excitment of fights, then you can sort of understand where hes coming from.

But then again Fat mick is useless
