No he's not. He's saying a volcano got between him and victory. It's a tongue-in-cheek admission of defeat.

All these guys need something to fall back on. It is their emotional defense against saying "I lost -- I must suck."

I have grown to like Carl, and I will be cheering for him against Abraham. I just hope he can survive this mentally without making more excuses. He lost to a better man on the night, perhaps Carl did take his foot off the gas - who knows, but give the man who didn't some credit.

I think he realizes that he couldn't have beaten Kessler without knocking him out. This is why in the post fight interview he talks about how he had Kessler hurt (and he did), and how he should have pressed harder and have gone for the knock out.

Maybe he should have jumped in the volcano....... Let's give him a few points for originality. I really don't think I've ever heard anyone blame a volcano before. :think

It's an excuse unless you admit the other guy was better that night, so that professional **** you're talking about lose it.

you damn right its your fault Froch

you should of checked the background on those incompetent judges instead of just complaining about the venue of the fight

He also said he had a perferated ear drum which messed with his balance....He was in hospital on Tuesday, and that's why he flew in on Wednesday.

i see where you're coming from but honestly, it's more than we usually get from fighters after they lose and WAY more than i expected from froch. he did say it was his fault, accepted blame and will improve. admittedly the volcano bit could be dropped as was said

At least Carl is crying less than some of the 4-5 ******ed cry-babies in here.

I will not all them fans, because I am a Froch-fan and I can see Carl lost the fighter to the better man.

They are not fans, just ******ed cry-babies.

I am a Froch hater, my brother is a Froch hater. The other people watching were neutral, and everyone saw Froch as the winner. Along with 2/3 of the press view. Did you watch it with Showtime? Because I think the angles are sketchy with the European streams. You watch it on an internet stream? Be honest? Bernstein also had it for a point.
