That's because no one ever has. Interestingly, this is the very first loss-by-volcano in history, even though volcanoes have probably been around as long as people.
Let's stop with the "if you watch a stream your opinion doesn't count" bull****. Yes, some streams are highly pix-elated and lag, while others can be crystal clear and as good as television. I watched it on stream today and the picture was as good as TV.
regardless. Froch will come out of this tournament better than all of them as far as his reputation. He has fought them all and has not been stopped. Good showing by him even in losses.
I just now finished watching the fight. I blame Kessler. I had it 116/112. I could see another round to Froch though I suppose. I'm not the best at judging fights but I saw the 'Brit' broadcast. They had Kessler by one also.
There were some close rounds that supporters could have seen him taking by focusing more on what Froch was doing than what Kessler was doing. I wouldn't get too down on them. A lot of Froch supporters seemed to join the site right after Pascal. It was funny because you could tell by the join date and the fact that they parroted the Brit broadcasters exactly what was going on. Don't be too hard on them though. He brought them to boxing. Hopefully they learn and stay.
WTF are some of these posters whing about? Froch was classy, and acted like a pro. He didn't whine like the Dirrell camp or his fans saying he was robbed or some bull**** like that. It was a close fight that could have went either way, and 117-111 was off.
I'd drop "excuses" and "fairly" from that post. They have 'reasons' that they think led to the defeat. They need this to be able to get back into the ring. They need to think they can make corrections. They need to think that something that was outside their control THIS time can be brought UNDER control next time. On this forum a guy can be taken to the hospital after the fight, have his hand x-rayed and confirmed broken and be considered an 'excuse maker' if he ever mentions it. To me "excuse" is when Miranda blamed his nutritionist for his early round KO loss to AA. But even at that, we know that is the way Miranda psyches himself up to get back in the ring. Everybody on this site seems to have a couple dozen 'first stones' sitting around at the ready....
8-4 7-5 6-6 These are the possible scores I had for the fight. I scored it 7-5 for Kessler. I wouldn't have argued a 6-6 or an 8-4. The 9-3 from one judge was a bit off the wall. Kessler won his rounds more convincingly than Froch and dictated the pace for most of the fight. Two observations. Kessler is not shot (as some suspected), but he's definitely not as sharp as the guy who faced Andrade and Calzaghe. Froch, in an unorthodox kinda way, is a bit better than I thought he was. He impressed me more in this fight than any other up to this point.
He has a new coach so I'm not too sure how comfortable he was. He has had the back problem for quite a while though. Also, Froch was a little awkward and I think some of the credit goes to Froch for making Kessler a little less precise. Andrade you can look more precise against. You know where he is going to be.
Not a classy quote, more of a classic example of trying to sound professional while actually avoiding giving your opponent any credit and blaming the loss on "I guess I just didn't try hard enough" type of excuse.
LOL I love the excuse makers claiming this comment was "classy"... he lost, he should say he got he got beat by a better boxer and thats all there is to it.. all those people who are hypersensitive on other boxers talking smack about Froch should face up to Froch making excuses..
