Johnson went in off the back of a win though. Judah's 'win' over Matthysse was questionable. It's close but I think due to the fact that Judah quit where Johnson was game makes it a better with for Froch. But it's very close and irrelevant really.
Khan-Judah Froch did what he had to and tbf Johnson came to fight unlike Zab but a few people picked Zab to win whereas no-one really gave Glen a chance. Froch had it all to lose in the fight: he wins and its expected, he loses and its ****. Khan dominated and deserves his props.
Just edited my last point, roe. Thing is, Glen had lost 3 of his last 5, and the only notable win in them last 5 fights was Allan Green, who had lost pretty badly against Andre Ward just before, and pretty much everyone had Froch to win against Glen anyway, so personally, I'd say Khan-Judah, without being too bias.
Most predicted Khan to beat Judah as well. I'm not really disagreeing though, Khan does deserve credit for the way he easily won and it is close.
I think Froch's win over Johnson because Johnson looked very strong at 168 in the Green fight and although behind on scorecards he was sorta controlling the fight to where he wanted it to go. Many felt stylistically Froch would get dragged and stopped late by a LHW but he dug deep. I read a few posts from people prior to the Judah match in which some felt he didn't even beat Matthysse and was losing to Mabuza until the peach he landed. So it was plenty of mixed opinions banded about. I believe Froch's win just nicks it i think Judah's renaissance was a little over played in many quarters. I think many hoped/dreamed he would turn back the clock and land something like the Mabuza punch but in reality he was slightly improved by Pernell but not enough to beat a primed champion like Khan. Khan's performance IMO was better then Froch's (ate to many right hands) but the win and the fighter in front of them i plump for Froch.
Easily Khan over Judah, Judah was on form, much younger and was proven in the weight category. Judah was up for the fight, but just got demoralised after he realised he just couldn't do nothing against Khan.
Froch/Johnson was close. Too close. Khan just ****ing steamrolled him and never gave him a chance, even if Judah's 33 and his best days are past him, that's quite impressive.
For me Froch beating Johnson and taking big shots was more impressive. In my book, Judah has been finished for years and has lived off his first four rounds against Mayweather for far too long. Frochs win is more impressive because it was against an opponent who would present a dangerous challenge for 12 rounds, he did it against Alan Green and Dawson before that. Johnson is always turning up to fight win, lose or draw. Judah is always lacking in conviction in training and during the fight. So Khan won much more convincingly, but Frochs win ismore impressive due to his level of opposition. I never bought into Judah being really dangerous for Khan, it was all Hype based on Judah from 10 years ago.
