The reality is that Froch isn't a bad person; neither is George for that matter. Froch exudes the sort of arrogance that I would expect a top sportsman to have, but neither has the charm nor the charisma to pull it off. Instead he comes across like he has a massive chip on his shoulder.

He doesn't articulate himself particularly well and contradicts himself on a regular basis. When you throw in the fact that he refers to himself as an 'international superstar' and has an almost tattooed on expression in which he is constantly sneering, it is understandable why he isn't the most popular of individuals.

The reality is he filled a hole as a world champion between Hatton and whoever comes after him. People loved Ricky in the way they never will with Carl and if Britain (England in particular) had a plethora of world champions he would be well down the list in terms of popularity.

His obvious media training between the first and second fights now looks incredibly fake and is quite frankly embarrassing. Anyone who has followed Froch knows he has always been very arrogant (look at the way he talked about Calzaghe) and we aren't going to be fooled by this sudden attempt at changing.

His family do him no favours either. Lee giving George stick is just embarrassing. George would leave him in a coma if he wanted to and it sickens me watching the fat **** pretend he is something he's not, simply because he has a famous brother.

Froch has had a brilliant career and nobody can deny that, but for British boxing it would be far better if George won.

Only reason it's good for George to win is to take over the mantle...not sure Groves is going to be the most popular champions either and who know's what he will be like IF he does.

He grates more on me than Froch does (infact Froch doesnt grate on me at all) and I can imagine that increasing ten fold if he wins...he's a cry baby which isnt at all what you want from a Champion.

Hes playing the game, as is Froch.
Unfortunately Froch is incapable of laughing at himself in interviews etc outside of fight promoting and comes across as a bit of a dick.

Groves hasnt annoyed me much in the past so im hoping after all is said and done he doesnt take on this current 'persona' full time

I agree Groves hasnt annoyed me before this either and has impressed me as a fighter so we'll have to wait and see, I'd like to see Froch win though and then call it a day. Groves can take over afterwards! Either way its good for British boxing. :good

Yeh its a while since we have had something this big, always a good thing!
As fighters i cant fault either of them, nor can i categorically call the outcome, so many tangibles!

Just hope when its all over and done with, without controversy the loser can shake the other mans hand and admit to being beaten by the better man rather than ply loads of excuses. I dont care if they are friends but as fighters they both deserve each others post fight respect.

just watched it, ****ing hell people are dumb what has Froch done to deserve to be booed except show some guts battle his way back to a win against a man 11 years younger than him. Froch cant be blamed for Foster, sure he aint got a great personality out the ring but his personality in it does not deserve to be booed or jeered.

people definitely forget how much of a warrior Froch was in that fight. It was such a heavy knock down and imo most fighters woulda stayed down/not survived.

I felt like Froch was coming back into the fight and hurt Groves a couple of times. I'm 95% sure Froch would finished Groves in that round but it shoulda gone on. Thank god it didn't because we now have a HUGE domestic stadium fight!

Used to be a Groves fan but feel he's changed since the Degale fight. Wants to be David Haye but can't pull it off. Hear him using Haye'esque quotes all the time.

He is giving him a rematch where he is now the underdog but still wants it...whatever happens he has been a great champ

Nobody is forgetting anything. Least of all the classless, post-fight behaviour and ungracious interview Froch gave in which he patronised Groves and the paying fans, whilst again (as he always ****ing does) bigging himself up.

He's a tedious ****. People put up with it when he was fighting foreigners, but he seemed to think that his fan-base was akin to a football team's fan base and they'd stick with him through whatever. He's also got much worse since the Bute fight. The man doesn't have an ounce of humility in his body.

People disliking Carl is nothing to do with him as a fighter and everything to do with him as a man. Turns out the bigger **** you become, the less people like you. Who'd have thought it, eh?
