Froch: Kessler announcement in two weeks

Well, I think it was the Ward heatbutts as well as the Froch fight that took it out of him. The eye injury sprung up again vs. Froch and made him seriously doubt whether he could continue boxing. Fortunately, it seems to have healed with time passing and there has been no signs of it in his past two fights.

 

I don't think elderly people with poor vision should be driving. .

It just was kind of ironic, and funny how he was driving while talking to the showtime cameras at the same time. . .

Im not questioning his heart. . . I really do think he needed the rest, and he just made a smart business decision. . .

But I don't think his "double vision" was anything to use as an excuse for getting severe damage inflicted on him by Froch. . .

 

I pretty much agree. . Although I do think he could have fought on in the tournament; most boxers are never 100% going into fights. . .

He needed the rest, and it was the best move he could have made to ensure longevity of his career. . .

That's why I think the way the tournament set up was flawed. . . The whole round robin points system just doesn't work in a taxing, and fickle sport like boxing. .

Next time they do a tournament, it should just be single elimination.

Froch lost the first fight 5-7 for me,but he had Kessler well figured out come the end of the fight.He just took far too long to get going that night.They're both in completely different places momentum wise,and while I think a peak Kessler will always give Froch plenty to think about,the fact Froch is on fire added to the fact that he finished the last fight so strongly means it won't be as close this time...

 

There are talks of a possible Froch-Oosthuizen fight for October. This is according to [url]www.goldengloves.co.za[/url] which is Oosthuizen's South African promoter. And judging by Tommy's response on facebook, he seems keen. His words: ''So Froch wants to take a bite, let's get it on!''

 

I agree with this.

The rematch will always be there. I think a rematch might ruin both..

There are rumours that Chavez are having weight problems and will go up to the more interesting SMW after the Martinez fight win or loose. So he will also be interesting for both - if they dont beat eachother to a pulp first.

 

It was clear in that Kessler won like 7 or 8 rounds. And it wasn't hard to score. But it certainly was a very competitive and grueling fight for both.

Froch has done a lot of self-promotion by repeating it 'was a close fight that could have gone either way'.

Not really, but he has to think like that. Either way, it was a hugely entertaining fight and although Kessler won he was never in control of the fight. Nether man was.

But that is not the issue. The issue is that it was a great great fight and everyone wants to see it again. Personally I would like for them to wait a bit... because the rematch is always their for them.

 

Oosthuize is getting mutilated badly if the fight happens. Nothing interesting in this fight.

 

This is a brilliant fight fo Froch because he would look superhuman against Oosthuizen. Stylistically this is a great match up for Carl. And Oosthuizen is otherwise a good fighter.
