Froch landed the harder punches, and more of them. How the hell could a non biased judge give the victory to Kessler?

This is objective proof that Froch won.

Scoring a close fight is subjective either way, so people will cry out for robberies and such. People look for different things and I agree, one fighter could've got the nod, but one fighter most definitely could not have a clear nod over the other. I had Kessler winning like I said, but it was not by a vast margin to be fair.

Most of the close rounds I had Kessler eeking it out by showing ring generalship and establishing dominance in the centre of the ring, he kept Froch on his backfoot, where Froch.. likely landed at a higher percentage some of those rounds, but a good few of them were awkward bow/arm punches which did not impress or make a special mark.

Some if not many of those slapping bow/arm jabs by Froch were borderline illegal as he was throwing out backhand slaps as much as he was jabbing. Honestly, he may have jabbed close to 600 times, but a good portion of those jabs were god awful.

So people think Kessler won because his style looks better? What about Bernard Hopkins? Everything he does in the ring looks ugly but he still wins.

I watched the fight last night for the first time and tried to be unbiased. I'm not a big fan of either fighter but preferred Kessler's style prior to viewing. I scored each round and did not look at my tallies till the end. It was very difficult to pick a clean winner in each round and actually scored several of them a draw. In the end I had Froch winning by 2 rounds. Still, I do not think this fight was a robbery.

  5. I was just shocked that so many people thought Kessler won. I mean it was a close fight but I came on here afterwards expecting there to be quite a bit of dissent about the decision. Anyhow there's plenty of time to cry before the Abraham fight!:|

So it proves that Kessler won 5th round :nut that round was Froch´s best round and I also had Froch winning 3rd round. I seriously question your ability to count :patsch

I used an excel spreadsheet to come up with some random numbers. I called it "I suck Froch Nuts.xls"

Turns out that Kessler landed minus 3000 punches per round.
In the first round Froch threw one million, but landed two million, proving he is God.

The 90% of people who watched, the judges, commentators, experts who all disagree will be in trouble come Judgement day.

Only those who cry like little bitches and make up funny numbers will be saved by the all powerful Froch!

I don't know about anyone else but you seemed to have been pissed with Kessler winning before you went into scoring this fight. Really appreciate the effort tbh, but i know that sub conscious things can affect what you count and don't count. And Froch throwing 75 a round doesn't really sound right... thats a really high work rate

Yeah, I just looked at my own scorecard:
I had Kessler as a fairly clear winner, but even I could see that round 5 was Froch's best round, maybe in the whole fight. No way Kessler took that round.
(Round 3 was very even - could swing either way).

Froch threw never nearly anything like 1000 punches in this fight.
He wasn't even as much throwing as Kessler, who also was nothing near 1000 punches.
People are making too much utter bull**** punchstats threads.

    Very good point :)

I simply can't understand why people keeps bringing up the idea that Froch won ... all three judges had Kessler the winner - only 15% of this boards members have Froch winning. Nearly the whole media (even the english) have Kessler winning. There is no controversy here - none what so ever - it was a clear (but close) win for Kessler.

Froch did well boxed mayby his best fight to date - but got beat on the day - no shame in that. He didn't get schooled or exposed or anything like that - just beat by a hungry Kessler.

Top post, can't disagree with that. The few bitter Froch fans who are convinced he won the fight when he really didn't need to have a word with themselves and stop bleating on about it. The only gift decision in the tournament so far was given to Froch when he fought Dirrell.
