The OP is right slightly different from myself, but closer than you.

I decided to pick a random round (2) and only counted punches thrown.

    Froch
    Thrown 86
    Jabs thrown - 74
    Power shots - 12

    Kessler
    Thrown - 53
    Jabs - 38
    Power shots - 15

Splitdecision, I commend you on your work.
It's obvious you've actually done this. You could get 10 people to count and get 10 different sets of figures, but from what I saw your figures are pretty sound.

Now before somone gives me **** for this, how about you go count the punches, even if it's for just one round.

Watched the fight twice and Froch does throw allot of jabs. Still think Kessler won.

even based on this info, froch still didn't win.

Good work though, just shows that being more accurate and consevative with punches wins you fights, and not always volume

I had Froch 115-113, but agree with your post.

i had it the other way to kessler, although i despertely wanted froch to win.

First couple of rounds in the fight made the difference IMO. But hopefull they will ge tthe chance for a return before they both reitre, as was a good fight

Makes sense, I thought Froch was more successful with the jab than Kess, but most people watching the fight for the first time didn't think so

Wow if you say you counted them I'm certianly not gonna call you a liar but from just watching the fight ( Im not into this round by round stuff too much ) I would have guessed Kessler threw more in every round.

At the end of the day , I felt Kessler won , my two mates ( who admittedly know hee haw about boxing ) thought Kessler won and we were all supporting Froch.

Close fight no doubt but I dont feel cheated.

I don't feel cheated either bud, too many close rounds for me and I'm cool with a Kessler win, but all it takes is 3 minutes.

Round 2 starts at 2:15. Kessler throws about 30 shots less, but is probably more effective with his punches.

My post was more a shot at Antcull taking the **** out of the OP.

Hey brother I certianly wasnt trying to be snippy

I'll try it tonight ( cant watch vids at work ! ) If Froch does throw more then maybe that means i was being affected by the crowd reactions.

    This'll be interesting

Are you guys honestly counting that thing Froch flicks out there with no intention of even landing when he knows he's not even range? They aren't even real punches, they're keep away from me tactics

You must be getting duped by that **** to count 600 god damn jabs..:rofl

I've done it with a couple of different fights, having the ability to pause and rewind at your leisure makes a real difference. I did it for the Froch - Dirrell fight and it completely changed my view of proceedings, what intially looked like Dirrell landing an awful lot turned into Froch slipping loads and Dirrell falling short

I'm sure that the vast majority of people are capable of determining what and what does not land...no one is going to count flicks that don't
