What Pavlik got to do with this fight? Kessler has a couple of things he does well, so has Pavlik to an even lesser extent.

The question isn't whether a fighter is limited or not, its whether he was able to execute or whether his opponent found away to expose those limitations and stop him.

Thanks for the critique on ESB scoring though, quite impessive of you to come to that sweeping conclusion in less than 1 month as a member.:good

  2. Well Froch had Kessler in trouble through his method whereas Kessler didn't have the same effect.

Just to add to this thread, i think i saw a much improved defence from froch in the fight. The man was actually making kessler miss combinations by moving his damn head. Maybe he can improve yet?

Kessler buckled Froch in the 8th round which was the best punch of the whole fight, none of Froch's punches hurt Kessler real bad, the truth of this fight is as followed, Kessler beat Froch despite his timing being out and not fighting to his strengths, my respect for Froch is at an even greater level (if possible) than before the fight but his fans are being silly beyond belief, most general fans accept that it was a close fight that was won clearly by Kessler

It was the best Froch ever looked, offensively and defensively.

Not near enough to beat a jaded Calzaghe victim though.

That point was ridiculous anyway, Froch was taken out of his method. Froch was playing the counterpuncher in there, he didn't dictate anything. When a guy as slow and clumsy as Froch is playing counterpuncher you know he's been taken away from his method.

The delusion and denial from Froch fans is almost unparalleled.

perfect post, although im not sure Cal did affect him, i think his court case and inactivity has taken the edge off a bit.

The strangest point after the fight was those saying Froch wasn't aggressive enough.

Do they know what would have happened if he had gone forwards? He wasn't exactly well rested at the end having been forced to fight more passively and there is obviously theissue with being countered.

Kessler won easily, fight stats not necessary, two eyes will suffice.

Spot on...Kessler taking on sub-standard opposition post the Calzaghe defeat has affected his form in a negative way...he looked clueless against Ward, better against Froch (even though I think TFFP talks out of his ring where Kessler Froch is concerned) and I'm sure that Green is now in for a shellacking...reports of Kesslers demise are greatly exagerated.

Good point. I doubt Froch thought to himself "I know what will totally bamboozle Kessler, an uncanny impersonation of Floyd Mayweather Jr! He'll never see it coming!"
