Froch Kessler Ticket sales Monday Feb 4th

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by avo, Jan 15, 2013.

  1. It's been doing that all day. The website is ****.

I'm thinking they do it on purpose to be honest. Get everyone shitting themselves that all the tickets have gone so they'll take anything it lets them get. Either that or the system they've got just doesn't scale. Seems bizarre when they've got a waiting room system to prevent it getting overloaded that the server can't handle the number of simultaneous requests or is just returning the wrong information.

For such a big place it's absolutely pathetic either way. I was trying to get £80 tickets from 12.30 - 1.45 and it wouldn't let me. I tried 3 different browsers and most of the time it wouldn't even let me buy a single ticket with 'best seat available' selected, saying it couldn't find any. When it randomly said I could get 3 £60 ones (2 together and 1 apart) I thought **** it it's better than nothing and took them. But there's no reason I couldn't have just got the ones I wanted. Really quite annoying...

Managed to get 5 tickets but only three of them are seated together.

I wonder if this scramble is just for the priority tickets?

Will they make more available when they go on general release?

  4. Doubtful since they allegedly sold 10,000 in the first hour.

They MUST be almost all gone by now, unless that was just a lie.

Touts have been hoovering the tickets up early doors.....just check the normal shyster outlets and you'll find plenty available at extortionate mark up and booking fee

Theres 8 of us wanting tickets, Thinking we should like i remeber as a kid seeing Wednesday fans do at a cup Semi just grab hold of the tout rifle pockets and liberate the tickets.
not sure if local plod would agree it was liberation though, What do you reckon?

I logged in at 11:50, refreshing continually. When I finally got in at 12:10ish, all the £150 tickets were gone. It would only let me buy single seats after.

I could get more than one anywhere.

    Eventually I gave up.

Its a decent plan but you don't see so many touts outside venues any more, they are large operations working online now. There are plenty of tickets available but at hugely inflated prices.

Kessler got 5,000 tickets to flog in Denmark so there were only 13,000 to go round in the first place

depends on what the 8 of ya are like, most touts who work outside the venues (the old way buying spares for cheap and selling em on) tend to work together its mostly the mancs/cockneys who have got it sewn up around the country clued up people so you may come unstuck

Yes i no pal what i've noticed in past is that loads of Manc & Scousers work together but then pretend to hate each other rest of time.

Difference between football & boxing is numbers its easier to blend in to background with 60000 people there as opposed to 17000.

Just right gets on my tits that nothings done to stop this and that Ticketmaster actually tout tickets aswell, makes you wonder if promoters or venues have a agreement in place with these touts?

I just managed to get a pair of tickets in row 102 which is just behind ringside from a mate who does corporate hospitality, can't wait for this one, we should sort out an ESB link up for a pint beforehand!

Slightly off topic I guess but does anyone know how much Sky Box Office are charging for this one? Because a friend of mine was telling me that WrestleMania (WWE) has gone up from £14.95 to £17.95, I wonder if £17.95 is going to be the norm now?
