I think they are trying to justify Kessler-Froch II PPV by pointing people towards the first fight, and saying its "guaranteed" to be a war. That's the only pitch they have got for this fight. Because NEITHER fighter is PPV quality. Decent fighters, tough fighters, but not ELITE fighters. Not by a long shot. Young Wardy proved that. Anyway, that whole its "guaranteed to be a warrior war" is complete and utter bull****. Just because the first fight was decent, don't guarantee that the second is gonna follow suit, only the sheep and those that DKSAB will buy that **** up, they will lap that up. The fact is, if you KSAB, anything is possible. This fight could well be as good if not better than the first, but endless possibilities, it could be an over hyped pile of dog **** also. Hopefully for Eddie's sake its the former. Because anything other than a top class fight, will not be good enough for the suits at SBO. They have already been let down before, only this time, it wont just effect Eddie's SBO capabilities, but it could effect his basic dates on SS.
You pay for this **** and it'll only mean more PPV's in the future that will make this one look good.
Great post. Rematches usually never live up to their first fights, there are exceptions but i think in this case it won't as both fighters are older and wiser so have less to give. Probably much more cautious approach from both and even a techinical and tactical fight for the most part and once they start to tire there may be a bit more leather landed.
Surley the fight being a good fight should be the biggest indicator of whether a fight is PPV or not?
I genuinly laughed out loud at that, well done there. There is an entire thread where people are debating Eddies smallest show of the year against Franks biggest.
Well Jonsey made that thread so that dosen't count and it wasn't really much of a debate as the Poll clearly showed. What exactly is Hearn’s best show in 2013 though? To be honest I can’t even remember any good ones so far. A better thread would have been the Cleverley card on 20th April vs the Burns one on May 11th especially as both are facing their mandatories. As I mentioned before this is the Burns one so far: Ricky Burns vs Jose Gonzalez Stephen Simmons vs Michael Sweeney Jon Slowey vs TBA David Brophy vs TBA John Simpson vs Choi Tseveenpurev Hardly that inspiring is it and i'd take the Cleverley card over the Burns one any day as things presently stand.
Ive seen some absolutely great fights between two very evenly matched 4 or 5 fight novices but I wouldn't pay 15 quid over and above what I pay to watch it
Well this isn't a fight between 4-5 fight novices. 2 genuine world class fighters. great style match up. its a great fighter that can't be argued.
