Froch still has some big fights ahead

Despite having some gruelling battles over the last couple of years, Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch believes he can carry on fighting for a few years yet.
Speaking to his local newspaper the Nottingham Post, Froch said “Obviously, it depends how I feel physically and mentally. I will carry on if I still have the desire. I’m at my peak. I’m not going to get any fitter but, mentally, I’m getting stronger. My reflexes are still good and Bernard Hopkins is still boxing in his 40s.”
In speaking to Undisputed last month Froch told me that he still believes he can win the Super Six despite the setback against Mikkel Kessler earlier in the year. And with a possible showdown with new Showtime fighter Lucian Bute and a rematch with light-heavyweight king Jean Pascal still to be upheld after both men agreed to it after their first contest, there are plenty of big fights ahead for Froch.
