If it is late Spring, great chance that it will be happening at Nottingham, at the City Ground stadium approx. 30,000. Bigger crowd than the Bell Center, MTL.
This time, Interbox are ready to travel.

The sooner the better for both fighters fans. Just hope in aint in late May or some **** like that. Don't really care where it's at unless if they had an arena within my vicinity that was being considered.:D

From what I understand, only if it goes to the purse bid and again, it change if it's in the Belt holder hometown (more money to the challenger) that in the challenger's hometown (if they win the purse bids) wich he will give away more money.

In the last news of the Kessler vs Steilglitz fight, it was said that Kessler won the purse bid and decide to make the fight in Danemark and so his team are taking financial risk there (Kessler, Bute and this kind of boxer are selling good so its not a big risk) to organize and promote and do marketing for the fight and agreed to pay 80% of the purse total offer to Steiglitz.

Of course, I'm pretty sure that Kessler team will give Kessler money on the side.

For exemple if the official purse of Kessler is 1M$ it means that they give 4M$ to Steiglitz. I'm pretty sure the purse bid team Kessler won was a lot lesser, for exemple 2M$.

In this case Kessler make 500k and Steiglitz 1.5M$ and of course Sauhaurland giving on the side (outside of official purse bids as a salary and expense, etc.) a % of the profit with a guaranty of 1M$ more.

Of course all these numbers are fiction, but the 80%/20% is true.

Don't confuse WBO rules with IBF rules

I admit that I didnt check the details for IBF in particular, but even if there's some difference, it has some similitude and the original question was about the money Froch would be receiving if they come to agreement before the purse bids and after. But your right, if we want the real rules, we should go see on their respective internet sites for their respective rules.

Most fan friendly fight that can be made at the weight. I remember Carl asking Ward "I need to know if you're coming to fight"...

Bute's motivation for this fight, regardless of location (which I don't give two craps about, it's ****in Bute-Froch!), would be top notch I'm sure.

Notwithstanding the purse bid percentages described herein, if the circumstances so warrant, the Championships Chairman or the President may make a recommendation to the Board of Directors that a different purse bid split be employed. Any variation in the purse bid percentages from those set forth in this rule must be approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

If Shaw was still promoting Dirrell and if that was the fight at stake right now, I'm pretty sure Shaw would do just like GBP did if he won the purse bid.

However I'm thinking Hearn would have it in Nottingham if he won the purse bid.

If they're trying to come to an agreement, I don't mind either location!!

I don't think they want to go to purse bid thinking Froch will get 15%.

That is so true! Great post...Several articles and even a video on youtube has Froch saying straight up that Bute is hiding....If Froch now declines Bute to fight a lesser fighter, he will look like such a loser.
