True. Will be interesting to see if they lean towards Montreal or Nottingham, just takes a good estimate of the revenues on both sides.

I hope Lucian realizes a win in Nottingham would have substantially more impact than a win in Montreal.

Most feel Froch has earned an easier fight at this point in his career coming off the tourney. Only the truly stupid will see him as a loser if he doesn't take this fight next.

It won't go to the purse bid anyway. If it goes there, with a 25/75 split, if I was Froch, I would say "F... that, I don't need that match up badly". Bute needs Froch. He needs his name. Froch can turn down the fight. And fight against an easy opponent in Nottingham. He is in his way out and want to cash out. 75/25, no way he will accept that. An up and coming fighter or a guy for who it is the shot of his live would accept it. Froch can make more money then that in Nottingham fighting a nobody.

What the IBF call does though is that it totally legitimize a Froch and Bute fight, put Dirrell out of the way (if Bute was to fight him, he would be strip of his belt), and put pressure on Showtime to accept the freaking fight.

Funny................Showtime had not problem with Ward fighting Froch...........Why doesn't Showtime demand a Bute Vs. Ward fight?

The official split for a mandatory is irrelevant.Froch would demand arround 50/50 anyway.
So what will count? Probably the pedegree of the fight. The most probable scenario is this was the result of both parties with interest fro IBF.

What`s the win of the Bute side? Only a greater possibility of making the best fight for their fighter now.The voices that a Direll fight is better are not the ones who have Bute at their heart not even neutrals.Beating Cunninghmam is not over losing, even clear in a the tournament final.
It`s clear the mandatory way is the gate Interbox found just to not escape the finalist. If Froch refuses to be mandatory will be his honour at stake.

What Froch would win? My guess is :a chance of beating Interbox at a purse bid and having one single fight in Nottingham. So Froch, even after a lose can have a championship fight and having it home! But this would cost them regarding purse.

I think it is a great match up. And credit to Froch to keep on fighting the best one after one..............:bbb

Maybe not his fans, but I think the Bute-camp knows, it is time to fight the best.....and if Bute did travel - Bute would earn some respect.

Froch somehow has earned a fight in Nottingham. Since Dirrell - he fought Kessler, Abraham, Johnson and Ward away from home........

Some thinks Froch is over the hill/never was that good, but that is bollocks. Froch loses are a close fight vs. Kessler and vs Ward...............?

Froch can take a punch and put on a lot of pressure, so this fight should be a big big challenge for Bute - specially if the fight is in England........

Totally agree. Bute is the one in a need of a quality opponent...!

If Bute wants to gain some respect, the time is now to travel and fight the best, so if Froch accepts this fight as his next, the venue in England should be a must ........

If the match will be done Interbox shot two rabbits by one fire, including escape of obligation of fighting no names one more year.

Showtime can't demand anything. I'm sure they want Ward to fight Bute moreso than ANY of us do. They signed Bute thinking they would easily get him into the tournament, but it backfired on them. He was blackballed and kept out and now their hoping to cash in on their investment.

We should be happy that Bute is getting Froch like we always thought. With this mandate, it kindof forces Showtime to reconsider, especially if they want Ward Bute so time later down the road.:deal

He will get respect if he fights Froch anywhere. He may get a bigger respect if he fights him in UK but not proportional to the risk IMO.
What I do agree with is that it's Bute that has to be less stubborn so that the fight gets made.

Ward will screw SHO big time. He got money from the network according to his market value at the time he signed the contract. Yes, winning the tourney has got him a little extra but I think Ward considers he didn't get what he deserved.
I imagine him not being too happy whe he found out Bute got vs. Brinkley more money than he got vs. Froch :). Given the fact that, in a recent interview, Virgil Hunter was still sniffing the air for those mil $ promised by Kessler I get it they aren't imune to news like this.
Ward will rip-off SHO to fight Bute. He will ask the network for a ridicoulus amount.
