Why do you think Mikkel Kessler and most F1 drivers lives in Monaco?

They don't want half of their hard earned money to go out the window.

I do not see what Froch is complaining about, and also how there is a possibility of paying 50% tax, theres nothing possible about it he will have to do it. Its the bloody law.

I can see all you lot slagging of the country for being **** all day long but the seconed we have to pay more tax we all complain, its complete crap.

Only heard the tax rate being %40 at the highest and heard it will go to %45. Never heard of a %50 rate. He said in boxing monthly he invested in property over there a while back and is probably going there for business.

Froch is making excuses and just because he's a boxer doesn't mean he deserves to pay less tax. His pay days were high enough for the high rate. He's probably bullshitting as he likes to ***** over something.

Alot of people blindy give boxers support sometimes.

He can go to Spain and live with the rest of the crusty sunburned brits. :yep

The new 50% top rate band was announced a few month back in the budget, not kicked in yet I don't think

Froch has made his money in the UK and if he's coining enough to have to pay top rate tax he should think himself lucky, never mind skipping the country

Currently anything up to £5,500.00 cannot be taxed.

Anything from £5,500.00 to £36,000 its taxed and 20%

Anything from £36,000 to £150,000 its taxed at 40%

Anything from £150,000+ will be taxed at 50% from July onwards I beleive.

The major problem for Froch is that he will also get taxed in the states if he fights there.

If Froch get £1million from his next US fight, UK tax will leave him with about £600k. Add US tax to that and he is walking away with about £400,000. In foreign coutrys they would not tax Froch so heavialy for cash he makes outside the country.

Its still allot of money but when you consider he could save 30% of his purse from tax each fight, you cannot blame the guy.

I certainly don't blame him, I'd be on the first plane to Monaco.

    50% WTF. 50% of your earnings...down the drain...for what? **** that.

its not 50%. Its 50% of anything over 150k.

Would you rather everyone just got taxed 45% of any amount they earned, or would you rather high earners get taxed a bit more???

I'd probably rather the MP's didn't cream it all off for themselves, if I was still in the UK.

It's not 50% of your entire earnings you dumb ass, it's 50% of each pound you earn over £150,000, which is how it ****ing should be!
