"my legacy is already greater than Calzaghes"

"i have 10 or 12 noticeable wins he has 3"

"i have faced more undefeated fighters than any other British champion"

And I thought they were friends!

    All true.

    Magee
    Pascal
    Taylor
    Dirrell
    Abraham
    Johnson
    Bute

    Lacy
    Kessler
    Bhop
    Shot RJJ
    Shot Eubank
    ....Tocker Pudwill?

Froch's record is better and have thought so for a couple of years now.

I agree with him because he actually sort out the toughest fights available to him and travelled all over the place so he's entitled to say that.

I recall Calzaghe actually admitting this fact recently but pointing to the fact he didn't have a super-six tournament when he was fighting but that's no excuse because the reality is, is that he choose to defend his WBO title against no-marks for years on end.

Calzaghe's signature win is against Lacy when he admittedly boxed very well over 12 rounds but Froch would have destroyed Lacy in 4 or 5 rounds.

IMO Bhop actually won the fight against Calzaghe and RJJ was shot to pieces.

Chris Eubank was not shot when he fought Calzaghe, and lets face it! Calzaghe fought and beat better fighters.

Eubank, Hopkins, Kessler will stopped Froch.

Even guys like Byron Mitchell and Brauer sp* Where better than guys like Abraham and Bute.

Hopkins now! Would make Froch look like a ******.

Hopkins now at 48 would make him look like a ******.

If you really break it down technically, Bernard Hopkins was at his best between 40-43 in my opinion.

Hopkins against Tarver is probably one of his most flawless performances.

“People will say, ‘Yes, but he beat Mikkel *Kessler’. I can answer that but I’m not going to, because it will look bitter."

Anybody know what he means by that?

    He's right actually.

Calzaghe was better than him, but he didn't beat opponents of the calibre that he ought to have done really. Way too many bus drivers.

Froch has lost a couple but when you fight the best fighters out there on a regular (well, permanent) basis, that'll happen.

......but your not a better fighter.

Somedays I wish Joe would comeback for just one more fight and shut this Froch up, but the ship has sailed now. Joe has been inactive for to long. If it was a couple of years ago, maybe, but not now.

Good point. Calzaghe achieved more but Froch has fought the better opponents and has more great wins because the division is a lot stronger now that it was in Joe's era. That said, if the two ever fought one another Joe would win. Would have been too fast, slick and clever for Carl like Andre Ward was.

Calzaghe would have boxed Froch's head off for a few rounds but it's inevitable Froch would catch him and back him up at some point and Froch would finish the job comfortably.

I don't like Calzaghe lets make that clear but even I won't deny that he was a better fighter than Froch and would have beaten him.

In my world that means nothing though, nor does the fact he retired undefeated, what matters is that I hated his style and he was a cherry picking twat.

Calzaghe wouldn't box Froch's head off, he'd draw Froch in and win an inside battle.

Froch is crap at toe to toe fighting - unless the opponent is well beneath him or weak chinned (ala Bute) he struggles. It's when he fights at mid-range and on the outside where he's most effective, keeping the opponent honest.

I don't think he could do that with Calzaghe, who'd be tough enough to withstand Froch's long, thudding shots and keep marching forward.
