Calzaghe beat a lot of people better than Magee and Bute and if you're going to say shot what was Johnson?

Froch will still be moaning about Calzaghe when he is an OAP. The bloke needs to shut up and concentrate on his own career, before he gets caught cold inside the ring with his eye of the ball. Calzaghe is finished, he hung them up and did the one thing not many fighters can do. He stayed away and remained undefeated.

Carl Froch cannot stand the fact that Calzaghe got all the plaudits, especially while he is still fighting and not getting the same recognition, it is eating him up inside. Even if he beats Kessler in the rematch, he will still be keeping Calzaghe's name relevant. It has become and obsession, Carl Froch has basically turned into Gollum. :|

It makes me laugh when I see his fanclub on here clutching at straws. Carl Froch is not the better fighter, and he doesn't have the better record either. Just take a step back, take the Froch tinted glasses of and look at it as is. Not as isn't.

Carl Froch is a good fighter, a tough fighter, granted, but he is nowhere near as skilled as Joe Calzaghe. Or Mikkel Kessler for that matter.

When you look at who he has actually beat, especially in the last two fights. What has he actually done at this level? Squeezed through against the aging Road Warrior, was outclassed for the vast majority of the Taylor fight. SD win over Dirrell. Took apart an overated Abraham, same as Bute and Mack.

And whenever he has stepped up to truly elite level, he has lost. To Andre Ward - emphatically.

Pascal is arguably Carl Froch's best win to date, and that was what? 5 years ago? Before the super 6 for crying out loud! Before he was "famous"

Someone said on here that Joe beat has has-been Robin Reid.......Carl Froch faced him in 2007!!! :patsch Joe faced him in

    :rofl

Carl Froch has been mixing it with the big boys because of who he is, and what he is about. Fair play.

This thread was getting one sided, and then the Froch brigade turned up, banging their drums and blowing their trumpets rampaging down the street.

This **** is like Apollo Creed and Rocky Balboa.

One day Joe and Carl will meet at the gym, in the early hours of the morning, not a person or camera flash in sight. The gym will be closed, while they gear up and step inside the ring to have it out. Joe will bend Carl over and pound him in the ass for 15 rounds, then he will show him some fancy moves he learned on Strictly, then they will kiss, make up, and walk out holding hands.

A mandatory opponent in the super six coming off a KO win over Allan Green?

And tell me which fighter, who I didn't list who was more highly regarded than Bute...

bute abraham dirrell are all average fighters, can't believe people rate them and the taylor victory wasn't anything special, ko'ing a middleweight who had no business up at 168.

Soulja, that has to be one of the best responses I have read on here. :good

I thought Froch was your typical ten-a-penny loudmouth when he was calling out Joe as he was coming through, but for me he has proven himself to have the right to be opinionated, even with regards to Calzaghe.

Froch has fought everyone and travelled too, looking back it seems Froch always had the belief he could take the best fighters out there to War and he has backed that up since, no question.

I think Calzaghe would have beaten him, but how anyone can criticize Carl Froch and what he has achieved is beyond me.

I dont think jealousy fuels Carl Froch, he was calling out Joe Calzaghe because he believed in himself and wanted a tear-up with the best available fighters, something he has subsequently proven and continues to prove.

Bull**** talk , no way would froch come close to beating Calzaghe at his best, Calzaghe would be too cute and have too many ways of adapting, 118-110 to calzaghe is the roughly the best froch would get. Dream on dude :patsch

Calzaghe was a two-weight Ring Magazine champion.

Froch fought for the Ring Magazine title versus Andre Ward, and lost.
