I think anyone with sense knows that Froch is not going to be able to outbox bute in any way shape or form for 12 rounds, he doesnt have the handpeed or defence to do it. So there is next to no point in Froch attempting to do this at the start of the fight as he often does now, all it does is gives his opponents a nice couple easy rounds where all they need to do is land a few jabs on him while he misses.

IMO froch needs to make this a torrid war, Bute does tire later in fights IF he is forced to keep a pace, I think Froch needs to concentrate basically 90% on conditioning and strength in training, because he needs to set a pace and when in close he's got to try and sap Bute in the clinches.

This only way I see Froch winning is if he stops a tired Bute in the last 3 rounds simmilar to Taylor, but thats got to be his gameplan, not just to get to Bute late, but to FORCE him to tire in order to have him defenceless for the last couple of rounds because if he comes out throwing jabs and trying to duck punches RJJ style he will get beaten up and stopped.

Froch should have gone to war against Ward instead of doing nothing.............Ward had a huge advantage in his personal tournament, he never had to travel like the others. Bute is quicker, better boxer, hits much harder than Ward, I respect Froch, but I just don't think Froch has the skill to beat Bute. Could be the first time Froch gets stopped.............Ward wants no part of Bute.................Ward refused to allow Bute to fight in his tournament.......................Froch is a true warrior, but has had some hard fights......................

Froch is going to get KO'd I fear here. He's open to eating those left hooks and it's a big shot Bute throws. I've never predicted this before on Froch, but i think he's gets stopped here fighting Bute in Canada.

Bute is being really overrated by the sounds of things, this is more winnable for froch than the ward fight was, froch can have Bute in a lot of trouble aslong as he gets a good start and stays on Bute through out he may even stop him late, it's a close fight and I'm not surprised they'll do it twice. Froch to win by stoppage and they won't want a rematch I feel.

Andrade had Bute down and almost out in the twelfth. He was tough enough to survive Bute's shots and wear him out down the stretch. Froch can do the same except finish the job.

Whilst I agree, people did say this about AA aswell. ;)

I really like Carl, but I think he has had his last really big win!

Even if Froch knocks Bute out, his personal referee will give him all the time he needs to recover.

Froch is a throwback in more ways than one. The guy is a machine, dedicated to the cause and has one of the best engines in his division. If they still fought over 15 rounds Froch would have beaten Kessler and may very well have turned things around and stopped Ward if the last 3 rounds were anything to go by. I tend to agree with the OP on this, he needs to shut down the distance and get on him from the opening bell. Bute tends to start fairly slowly himself a lot of the time, I'm just not sure exactly how good Bute is as his opposition can't be relied upon as a marker. He may be awesome or just moderately good. Hard to tell.

Bute has become the most over-rated fighter in the world.

I'm not a fan of this stay at home dude that had a ref panicking trying to save him when he was on ***** street from Andrade in any way.

Ward doesnt want anything to do with Bute cos he stays a home like himself.

How could they ever arrange that? Not williing to travel is a weakness and displays a lack of confidence! or is taking the **** knowing that they will always get a decision, either way its the same thing really!

Its like Man Utd playing at home every game, ****ing ridiculous!
