"Tyson Fury’s got to be number one. He’s the heavyweight champion, he’s brilliant and he fights like a middleweight.”

“Josh Taylor, he’s got to be number two. Great fighter and unbelievable talent.”

“I’ve got to stick Leigh Wood at number three. My man from Nottingham. But it could be a joint third alongside Sunny Edwards and Joe Cordina.”

“Then I’d have Chris Billam-Smith, just had that fantastic win against Okolie and is a newly crowned world champion.”

Agree or disagree? Don't think he can count tho

No black fighters on that list?

Froch's EDL roots on show again.

BTW....I don't even disagree with the list. I just thought he would be more PC about it.

Not much there to argue...then again I couldv'e guessed all those names in that order before reading the OP.

I just knew he'd have Wood at #3 or #4

Actually I'd personally have Chantelle Cameron in there at #4 over Wood/Cordina.

Wow, a radical statement to make in Merry England. British government might need to step in and send some diversity re-education officers to the Froch property before he starts claiming Anglo-saxons built the country or something.

The AJ omission is the most glaring and he deserves to be on there due to achievements and overall body of work but the reason for his omission would be due to Froch not really caring for him after AJ fired their mutual trainer and Froch's buddy Robert McCracken. Nothing wrong with it really other than that.

    Okolie just lost to CBS

CEJ is coming off a KO loss to Liam Smith

Joe Joyce just got stopped by Big Bang Zhang

Belly, Taylor, Edwards, Wood (who, as his says, is his fellow Nottingham boy), Cordina, and CBS are all current world champions. Conor Benn doesn't deserve to be ranked above any of them.

Carl Froch Names Fellow Brit As “Favourite Fighter Of All Time”

However, despite the fact he campaigned at 12 stone, ‘The Cobra’ explained on his youtube channel, Froch on Fighting, that his favourite boxer of all time is a man who plied his trade at a much lower weight – Prince Naseem Hamed.

“My favourite fighter of all time, the guy that’s given me the most entertainment, the guy that inspired me to get back into boxing.

I got back into boxing at 19 years old for one reason, and one reason only. Because I used to love watching Prince Naseem Salem Ali Hamed – I’m a massive fan, I’ve read his book so I know his full name.”

“What a fighter, what an entertainer. My favourite fighter has to be ‘Naz.’ What a legend.”

A protege of the late Brendan Ingle, Hamed was known for his unconventional boxing antics and spectacular ring entrances which included entering the ring on a flying carpet, as well as re-enacting the video of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

However, Hamed was no gimmick. He was a southpaw with devastating punch power, and held multiple word titles at featherweight during the mid to late 1990s, and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015.

And he lost to the better fighter

    That video really answers nothing

If a top 5 was full of journeymen and average fighters, sure but it's not

There's some elite talent he has listed

Not really....its a PC world and Carl should be aware of any type of backlash that could be coming his way.

BTW I never said I disagreed with his list
