carl froch is the new world number 1 they need to get his heiht riht though as use to say he is 6ft 4ins now they sayin he's 5ft 11ins when hes actually 6ft 1ins an they say his reach is 74.5 when its actually 76ins by the way taylor has a freakishly 79ins reach dat crazy lon i thought froch arms wher mad long no wonder he got countered so hard an heavy all night.:bbb
itll be interesting to see if the ring puts him at 2nd or 3rd I have him 4th behind Kessler, Bute, and Andrade
Boxrec always inflates UK fighters. Anyway, I have him 4th, behind Kessler, Bute and Bika (but ahead of Andrade). He has a solid argument for 3rd. Higher than that is ridiculous.
I have to agree with boxrec. Kessler is fighting nobodies right now. Bute and Andrade need to clean up that bs that idiot referee made. Froch is the only one who has made a statement between the four fighters. So I have to agree with boxrec on this one.
He beat an undefeated up-and-comer in Jean Pascal for the title and then for his very first title defense, he flew to foreign territory against a serious threat in Jermain Taylor. These last two fights are more impressive than anything anyone at 168 has done recently. Not saying he deserves #1, but he certainly deserves a higher spot than friggin Andrade and Bika. I know everyone believes Kessler is the best guy in the division, but the man hasn't done **** lately. I don't think he deserves to retain his #1 ranking when he continues to remain inactive, and when he actually does fight, he's fighting hopeless tomato cans like Haussler and Sartison. Meanwhile, Froch is fighting real contenders and doing it away from the comfort and advantages of home. More than you can say for Bute or Kessler, who fight inferior opposition and rarely ever fights anywhere outside of Canada or Denmark respectively.. Froch is a star in the making. He's willing to fight anyone, anywhere..
You guys know it's a computer/algorithmic-based ranking system, right? Or is it "+2 points if homebase = u.k."? Not that I'm defending their rankings. They're ridiculous. But I don't think geography is part of the mix (my guess is the Taylor win is worth a great deal of points because of his results against BHop and Winky - likely more than they are worth considering how those fights went).
