Well, Taylor was ranked 2nd with only like 50-60 points less then Bute so it makes sense that Froch would move up to first after beating him.

By statement you mean getting floored and outbox for most of the fight by a blown up middleweight?

I'm pretty sure if Bute or Kessler got floored by a middleweight people would be screaming "Glass Jaw" left and right.

Just playing devil advocate by pointing out it's possible to pick on anyone's record. :D

They had Kelly Pavlik as P4P #1 for a while. Even I found that amusing.

The BoxRec rankings are ******ed. They also have Pac as the #1 at 140 lbs., even though he doesn't even have a single fight at that weight class (I guess they felt like they needed to stick him somewhere). That said, Froch is at best the #3 super-middleweight right now behind Bute and Kessler. He still has much to prove.

I agree and disaree with your post here. Kessler to me is a joke...I mean fuk the guy has done dick and his is getting a ton of credit for it.

I think tha I would say that Froch is number one at 168 based on the fact that he has fought good fighters in his last two fights, while Kessler WELL:think

I however dont think that Froch will be a star in boxing, A very good fighter that will lose to the stars of boxing.

Froch was impressive in the late rounds. He will be a much better fighter after this fight.

No i mean he made a statement. By getting off the floor and coming from behind against a former champion. Who clearly had all the physical advantages not to mention height and reach and speed. To knock him out in the final round.

Didn't Taylor whined about having a tough time making the middleweight limit and he used that as an excuse for his fading stamina in his two losses to Pavlik? I mean he claimed that moving to SMW would help him. Honestly the fight could of taken place at JMW, MW, or SMW. It wouldn't have made a difference. The reason is simple Froch wanted to win more badly than Taylor.

Can you Froch fans get on the same page, take a vote or something. Before the fight there were claims he would win because Froch was the bigger man and Taylor was a blown up middle weight. Now we are saying Taylor was the bigger man? I guess it looks better AFTER the fight to say Froch beat the bigger man?

Taylor didn't have height or reach him.

I give Froch the respect he deserves for this win, however, the above is a bit unfair if you ask me. I don't see why Kessler and Bute should be singled out for criticism when most fighters will fight at home unless the money is too goodI'm not sure about Bute, but Kessler has faced Calzaghe in Wales, Mundine in Australia and has also fought in Germany and the States. The Taylor fight was only Froch's second out of the U.K. and I don't think Taylor even knows where his passport is!
