It's 2hrs 25 minutes according to the AA route planner from Wembley to Forest's City Ground. Hardly a moronic statement is it?
I make no bones about it... I don't like Frock in the slightest, as a man, as a boxer he has beyond proven himself as world class, thankfully he is now on the slide. The way he came across in the first fight lead up, his interviews since... the man is a serious dickhead, this is my opinion. If this causes you deep pain, I suggest you revert to other threads, the last thing I want is too hurt your feelings.
Nah..You crack on. :hi: It's amusing to read online meltdowns written by "men" over throwaway comments made in irrelevant interviews to promote a fight by a particular boxer. I think you're all amazing arty
He didn't get a dodgy stoppage because he was in manchester and anyone who thinks it was because of local bias is an idiot. In the Dirrell fight when he was actually at home then you can make a case for it but in Manchester? Not a chance. He got a dodgy stoppage because: a) We have a culture of incompetent refereeing in the UK and we usually let it slide as it'll be someone not from our shores being had over b) He was the favourite, champion and Hearn fighter going into the fight so was always going to be favoured.
I can't wait until the self proclaimed peoples champion gets booed into the countries biggest stadium haha its going to be great
It was the quote itself that made me laugh, we all know he aint the brightest but to suggest it takes 4 hours from the east mids to north london is one of his funniest **** ups. The guy is brilliant to quote, Eddie has tried to reign him in, but now the fight is made... he can let him loose for the PR. PR dream, it's no act... it's the real Frock.
4 hours lol... Froch already bricking it. His fragile ego will crumble entering the arena to a crowd booing the **** out of him. GG in 3
Rematch will be far more difficult for Groves, first fight showed he lets his emotions control, as he knew he was way up and started showboating and letting Frock back in... this time with the majority of the crowd behind him from the start.. and a monster crowd at that... how will it effect him? This fight will be won in the mind more than any other. Booth would have excelled here.
I suspect that Froch's entrance music will include some piped in cheering to placate the booing. Groves will also get booed too.
fast eddie happy as a pig in muck today predicting the biggest fight in uk boxing history.... even if he has a daughter next i bet he'll call her howard....he's put the icing on top of the cake of eddies career.
I was watching the 'My Special Day' episode with that young lad a week or so back. Half way through I started thinking, this is the Froch I used to like. He was being caring and having a laugh with the young lad and I was starting to warm to him. Then at the end after the Groves fight, he says "What he's done at such a young age, well its inspiring even for someone like me, a 4 time World Champion" - and I thought hahaha 'WHAT A BEAUT!!!!' Then yesterday when they announce the fight is going to be held at Wembley, after a pretty restrained interview from Groves (yes I know he said he was going to win and enjoy it etc' - The first thing Froch says on the phone was 'Yeah I just heard Groves, I was struggling to keep awake, he was boring me to sleep' The mans a first class bellend IMO. Im pretty embarassed that I have been to watch him fight a few times in support to be honest!
