It's a better fight. The guy isn't amazing but it's top work for a last minute replacement. It makes sense to get a guy who was training for a fight anyway. Means the guy will be in shape. A win over someone who is 15-0 looks pretty on the record. Must consider Froch doesn't need to take this fight, he is mandatory.

At this rate it will be Adnan Amer topping the bill.

You won't get much better than that as a second late replacement

Undefeated, couple of ok wins, 37 mind...

Overall, still bitterly disapointed Inkin and Fewkes have pulled out, my enthusiasim is somewhat diminished for this card

I thought it was a joint bill.

Let's see whom he fights in summer for the title.

    Calzaghe's out. Kessler's out. Bute's out. Inkin's out. Andrade's out.

It'll be someone like Pascal or Miranda, I figure; whoever wins their next fight.

Then, once he has that belt, let's see us how much he hugs it.

After this one surely the likes of Pavlik, Hagler, Calzaghe and Sugar Ray can avoid the great Cobra no longer

3 fights in 6 years, and if memory serves me he was being handily outboxed by the 'soft round the middle' Dodson

    poor poor fight

You're memory may serve you well, but I would suggest the perception on which your memory is based is very poor. Dodson was allowed to do what he wanted, as Froch swaggered about idly flicking out the odd jab. Froch then ended the fight with the first three meaningful shots he threw.

Question from a newbie - how come Rybacki who tipped the scales at 168 ¼ pounds wasnt made to to take off the the final 1/4 pound? Does that mean the bout is not a SM bout? Does it only matter if the fighters make the exact weight if its a title bout or explicit in the fight contract? Thanks.

    Froch wasn't over.

He was a couple of oz under.

IT dont matter bout rybacki being over as its a non-title fight.

Froch fought a cruiserweight when he first turned pro, they were over 190lb.
