If he's paying them out of gate reciepts that he wouldn't be getting any way if he honoured the Showtime contract he signed then I don't see its much of a problem TBH.

Andy Kerr has just tweeted that Lou DiBella has been quoted as saying "No way" to the fight happening in Nottingham http://twitter.com/AndyKerrtv

Of course not.**** Showtime, they have vast amounts to spend if needed. It's Johnson who has to be over paid to accept such an agreement.Froch is talking to the wrong people.:-(

Froch signed a deal that would have both semi-finals in the US - you know where the broadcaster bankrolling the whole deal is based. Why shouldn't he give some of the money back if he wants to amend that deal and bring it to the UK?

And his third fight in Europe was Hennessy being a tricky ****er like usual...telling Froch he had a signed commitment for the Abrahams fight to be in the UK when keeping it vague with Sauerland.

Thats true but you'd also have to think that Johnson would want compensating for the fight moving to Frochs backyard?

Don't really understand why this isn't happening in the UK anyway. It makes no sense in the US, Johnson is not a big draw and he's against a Brit. It would be far better for the overall theatre of this fight to have it in the UK.

I'd like to go to another Froch fight now that the pain of the Dirrell debacle has worn off....not that I'm in any way blaming Froch that his opponent didn't show up to fight or that Hennessey couldn't organise an orgy in a brothel.

I used to detest Froch but I think he has won a lot of people like me over since signing for the Super Six. I would try and have a trip down to Nottingham if he pulls it off. Tough fight for him though.
