Ricky actually beat The Man in his division, who was also a first-ballot hall of famer. His two losses came to the best guys he faced, who were also the best fighters in the world. Froch lost to a worn-down, twice beaten Kessler and to (an admittedly elite) Ward, as well as a contentious win over Andre Dirrell. Ricky is MILES ahead of Froch.
I'm bored of Carl 'I'm a warrior' Froch...he has nothing new or fresh to say but the same old lines. I'm going to avoid his interviews like the plague fom here on in which sky are going to try ramming down our throats...having said that I will be getting the PPV.
This. It's an amazing career when you can take that into consideration and speak volumes about the guy. Well said. Never understood why people get riled up when a fighter displays his 'arrogance'. That being said, he needs to start showing his 'arrogance' sooner rather than later. He's selling this Kessler fight in the wrong manner, being 'friendly' with Kessler will not make people fork out the cash to buy the PPV event.
Ricky Hatton was a better fighter than Carl Froch, he beat fighters in more exciting and prophetic fashion.
I don't mind athletes who talk themselves up, but I don't know what it is about Froch, he's just very, very unlikeable. Fury talks about being the best fighter in the world, the best looking, the best singer, and I enjoy it. His personality is warming. Chael Sonnen from the UFC talks about his "arms of steel" and sounds cool. James Toney talks about being "the best fighter period" and I can listen to him all day long. Froch? I don't know man, for some reason he just can't pull it off. Listening to Froch talk smack is like watching Calzaghe showboat. Like someone said, he should have a "warrior swear box".
Carl Froch is smug man, smugness is a terrible trait to have. Haye, Fury, Khan are not smug! In my opinion they don't give off that trait.
