Not as much as Froch. Maybe he's a little bit smug, but I think he's a cool guy from the interviews and stuff that I've seen of him. That show on sky when he, Khan, Ogogo and Froch were sat around a table talking boxing and life...all came across better than Froch who kept interrupting. Ogogo was in the middle of a story, "I was in topman looking at a t-shirt, think it was about 8 quid" and Froch butts in "I can beat that. I was in poundland". I don't like Froch and never have. Everything he says just irritates me, and I couldn't put my finger on the reason until PK said it's the smugness. I think that's what it is.

    Totally agree.

Getting sick of him saying warrior every 30 seconds and Haye is actually a nice guy, I've met him in person and he was a top bloke, very down to earth, from some of the comments on here from people who have met Froch, he's very smug.

That wasn't the point, you agreed with PK that Haye isn't smug..now your admitting it, I don't really care about the rest.

No. I agree with PK that Froch is smug. I agree with PK that Amir Khan and Tyson Fury are not smug. I don't agree with PK completely about Haye not being smug, but he is less smug than Froch. Now you tell me what do you want me to do? Should I have made that more clear in my post to PK? Should I have been more specific? Want me to go and edit the post to let PK know I don't agree with one part of his post?

I am an elite level poster. Elite level...

Haye has charisma so the slight smugness is a non issue....Froch doesn't

Haye can laugh at himself & be self-deprecating. Froch cant/wont & I agree with everyone else saying he is smug, because he is.

Froch is just hyping the fight to the casual sports-fan. Froch isn't as big as he should be in the UK. Froch's fight against Bute has been one of the biggest in the UK for years. Froch vs. Kessler is even bigger - the biggest since Calzaghe vs. Kessler, imo. This fight needs as much hyping up as it can get.

Don't hate on Froch for doing his job. It's what he does inside the ring that really counts, and yeah, he IS a warrior, no doubt about it. You can't blame him for being supremely self-confident, can you?:good

Nothing wrong with this, is there?

Carl Froch is smug, and just in general abit disrespectful. He has slagged fighters off from the past, and fighters who are retired. There's something about speaking about fighters from the past, when they are old and retired! That is really smug and lacks class. Nigel Benn, Steve Collins, Chris Eubank have did their time, and Carl Froch is speaking about them as if he has beaten them!

Speak about fighters today who are not retired, and can defend themselves.

I can remember when David Haye was asked how he would compare up against past heavyweights of the 70's, and he said something along the lines..."It would be a honour to fight them, but i don't fancy my chances".

He was probably only being modest and humble, but..? That's respect.

David Haye made that statement on a Sky Ringside special in MAMI!!!

I agree, I just think that he thinks he's better than he is (strangely) and takes everything 100% serious, where as Haye, Khan, Fury etc can have a laugh and a joke about whatever they've done. I've not really seen Carl really laugh and take the **** out of himself.

Indeed nothing cooler than saying a fight will be as one sided as a gang ****.
    Cool and classy. :good
