Sandman, you've got a point.I would much rather he'd took the Stevenson fight. These 2 are always gonna have a good fight but for me its a bit of a strange one considering how pally they seem to beI could see Carl beating Kessler by the same margin he lost last time.Virtually nothing, then wed have a third one.Probably buy it,but not a must pay per view for me.

You used the word classy, not me. Nobody said that a charismatic person is perfect and does no wrong. Haye said something controversial, something that offended some people, but that's a different argument. Tyson Fury has also said some things that have disappointed me, but I still feel like he'd be good company to have a pint with.

Froch on the whole talks very well but yes this is definitely the most annoying thing about him of late. He's definitely been spouting this 'warrior' nonsense even more recently and it's probably down to the Ward fight. Froch has never been the most elusive in the ring and takes too many shots. So he dresses this shortcoming up with this 'warrior' talk, when boxing should be about hitting without getting hit back. Ward obviously schooled him in that respect and wasn't 'warrior' enough to stand in range and take punches on the noggin 'warrior' style like a 'true warrior'

He might be smug but he actually smiles and laughs....Froch is just a humourless ****, I actually think that he surpasses Khan in the thick stakes

Froch does talk a lot of bollocks but I don't really mind as he delivers every time he fights.

We're not talking about an Ashley Theophane here we're talking about someone that talks the talk and then delivers

Agree Froch is smug and bit cringey in general but overall he's alright, and false modesty irritates me more than someone saying what they think.

It was funny when he was about to slate Burns as a fighter then realised what he was about to say and mentioned his knockdown against Taylor to get himself out of a hole.

He just tells the honest truth I think.

So what, he's lost a couple. That tends to happen when you fight the best fighters.

I rate Hatton higher than many do, but Tszyu aside, his record is pretty ****. After that, his best wins are probably against guys like Vince Phillips, who was about 100 years old, and Ben Tackie.

Not exactly a HOF slate, is it?

You can pick at Froch's if you like - Pascal is pretty average (still beat Dawson though!), Taylor faded, Dirrell never did much, Abraham too small.... blah blah - but at least those guys were generally regarded as top 5 opponents at the time by practically everyone.

Looking a little deeper than simply saying "Froch is arrogant", I do think that perhaps Froch still carries feelings of injustice from the point of view that he has never got anywhere near the respect, profile and adulation of the British public that his resume should command.

I can't think of any British fighter that has had the run of opponents he's faced one after another meshed with the fact those fights were on foreign soil all over the world. Where as a boxer like Joe Calzaghe has defended his WBO belt against fighters no where near the calibre of opposition Froch faced, is well engrained in the British psyche.

And even though Froch has been with Eddie Hearn since the Glen Johnson fight, I still feel that Froch feels like he has to squeeze every moment of air-time to make up for the time he was totally under the radar where as if he'd have had the profile he'd deserved as his career progressed, he may well be a little bit more laid back than he comes across.

So all things considered I do think his scenario is quite unique.

Quite surprised to see how quickly people change their minds around here. A few months ago, Froch was a great laugh and a breath of fresh air, etc., and now... :huh
