Those type of things are very tricky. The boxer knows boxing and want to talk about that, the host is trying to find angles for his crowd and usually ends up asking the no sex before a fight question or saying something "cheeky" and pretending to be scared the boxer is going to hit him.

Some guys, love him or hate him, like Haye are very good at it and come across well but even then the boxing crowd will slate him for talking shite when all he's really doing is playing the game. Hard to please both audiences I guess.

 Haye is completely natural and comfortable, Froch was as wooden as any wooden thing that you care to mention. He was ****ing awful.

Could tell he was nervous, quite twitchy and fixing his suit. He did fine though came across very well I think. It's a difficult interview really as there's no controversy around him and general public aren't that bothered about boxing in general so not much to actually ask him. All in I'd be happy with it if I was him or Eddie Hearn. Good job by Eddie getting him on these sort of shows as well

That was good **** from Carl. I'm pleased for him..

He came across as a good family man who loves his mum. That's lots of boxs ticked.

He was obviously very nervous and it wasn't towards the end of the interview that he really started to settle into it.

One thing I think was really good was when at the end he wore his heart on his sleeve and came out with the cliches that many on here bag him for yet the audience (the majority who probably hadn't heard of him), related to what he said and clapped and cheered him as if they were almost pleasantly surprised they have a British World Champion who showed a bit of passion for what he does.

In the end people related to him and that's what it's all about at the end of the day.

I guess it's the difference between being interviewed by a journalist as opposed to a fat twat like Ross..

You are right about the exposure being better on ITV.

Just watched it. Froch nervous, he is definitely more natural and comfortable in front of the boxing media. Still, he came across as a decent and likeable guy and that is the main thing for mainstream audiences, I would imagine. The head to head with Ross was the best part, he talked warmly about his family, the Sky box office got a couple of plugs, showed footage of Froch hammering Bute. Job done.

Put it this way, I prefer him to be a bit understated, nervous and genuine than come on and act a bollox like Broner. And, all slabbering aside, you know Froch delivers when he gets into the ring.
