Who do you think has had the better wins of the two? It doesn't matter if you disagree withe decision just the results

Kessler's wins over Mundine, Beyer, Siaca and Andrade was better at the time than Froch's wins over Pascal (actually moved on to do good things at LHW, but ultimately wasn't a very good win at the time), Taylor (coming of some defeats and not really delivering the goods in the Lacy fight). I don't rate the Reid win as Robin was shot to pieces at the time Froch fought him.

That is just my opinion though and different people might think otherwise :good

Oh and obviously I'm a Kessler fan so that would make me a bit biased.

It is my opinion that Kessler has consistently upped his level of opposition since 2004 while Froch only recently has started to do this.

Obviously Kessler's opposition as of lately hasn't been stellar.

Begrudgingly I have to yield that Taylor, Pascal, and Dirrell is a better triplicate run than Kessler's ever had (better than Sartison, Haussler, and Perdomo; better than Lucas, Beyer and Andrade; and better than Thysse, Siaca, and Mundine) and those two signature wins (Taylor and Pascal) are each better than any single victory on Kessler's record.

However, those nine Kessler wins right there are arguably as good or better than Froch's couple of secondary wins (Reid, Dodson) and lightyears beyond his tertiary opposition (Porras? Rybacki? Give me a break). Overall Kessler has fought more good fighters, they're all just not as good as the best (but far fewer) Froch's bested.

I'll give it to Froch - begrudgingly - by a hair. After Kessler beats Ward and Taylor it'll tip the scales heavily in his favor (especially if both are by KO).

Kessler based on quantity, though Froch's best win is better than any one win of Kessler's.

You might be right, but remember what people thought of Pascal at SMW. He wasn't really rated back then. He might have been struggling with the weight who knows?

And I gotta say that Taylor was not impressive in the Lacy fight prior to fighting Froch.

Over their entire careers I'd say Kessler but Froch has undoubtedly faced the better competition in the last 2 years since the Kessler-Calzaghe fight.

How about dominance in addition to longevity? Brutalizing Beyer or clearly outboxing Andrade beats a very controversial decision over Dirrell or a last moment knockout of Taylor in a fight that Taylor gave away due to his dreaded stamina problems.

I would say that Kessler's loss to Calzaghe was more impressive than Froch's win over Dirrell. Froch would be a slapping post for Calzaghe, Kessler actually forced JC to bring out the best he had.

Jeff's his buddy, nobody expected him to go all out and rip his throat off. That could well have been a Holmes-Ali situation (for lack of a better reference point...don't really like comparing those four...) - and to further put in perspective, for a bounceback after two wars with the middleweight champ he looked plenty sharp.

Especially seeing as he damn near beat Froch. :good

IMO, Froch has wins over 3 very good opponents, whilst Kessler has one.

I'm very surprised Kessler is winning this, I think maybe there's a bias because he's a much better fighter....but the question doesn't really ask that!!!

I HATE Froch, but not many people have a better last 3 fight resume than him at the moment.

Kessler by a mile. He's also won his tougher fights in convincing fashion.

Clearly Froch has faced the better competition recently but that isn't surprising given Kessler was coming back from a defeat and Froch was just reaching a greater stature in his career.

Kessler will at the end of the tournament.

Actually, at the end of group stage 1. :good

That said, for now my vote goes to Froch on begrudging technicality.

Lets discuss the quality of Taylor's perfomance against Froch when Kessler has dismantled Froch :stir
