    Good one.

Trivially, a fighter has a say in (and a responsibility for) who he fights and who promotes him.

Yeh but every fighter are different. A fighter like Floyd would be right in the mix of discussions about marketing, promoting etc, whereas other fighters usually leave that kind of stuff to their promoters/advisors because that's their job. So they pretty much just agree with most suggestions from the advisors and promoters, bar few exceptions i.e. Floyd.

Well then he should take control! Everybody has a promoter, but it doesn't stop them getting criticised. Look at Pavlik recently. Look at Chavez historically. Fighters have a responsibility to fight the best if they're being marketed heavily.

Why should he take control? That's not his job. He's a fighter, everything else is left to his team. If ignorant people like yourself, think otherwise then so be it because you don't know **** about boxing. Simple as. I bet you also think he's cocky right?
