Froch planning vegas fight not Groves

Despite what he might tell you, Froch is a nobody in global terms. And Chavez only sold 4,000 tickets for his last fight (8,000 capacity), and his reputation has since taken more of a battering after the controversial scorecards.

 

Yes but Chavez will get the majority of the ppv sales, Arum will make sure of that. Froch would possibly need the ppv over here to make it to a decent payday and thats where the problem lies i reckon

 

All the more reason then to keep promoting himself in the US if he has the opportunity..

 

Don't get me wrong, Froch Groves is the fight that needs to happen, all im saying is that Froch Chavez and Froch GGG are good fights

Whats quite amusing is that Froch is getting slated for his next opponent being either GGG or Chavez!!!!

These are the fights we want too see, British fighters flying the flag against top opposition

Groves will be around for a long time, and is going to be a big big player in the SMW division

If the rematch doesn't happen then IMO Chavez and GGG are more than reasonable alternatives

 

Against Brian Vera, his fight before against Martinez sold out the MGM.

I think its a good fight, and if Froch had been given an additional 10 seconds to finish groves off, most people on here would agree.

 

If he fights Chavez that is an embarrassment, Chavez should have lost his fight aswell.

Maybe arum and Hearn can come to an agreement and they will both be given another gift, history will be made when it goes the distance and for the first time since records began both fighters come away with a wide UD, it will be glorious.

 

How can you not call Froch a coward?

He wanted to fight kessler for a third time and harped on about getting a rematch with him after he beat him the first time on a fair result.

Yet when the shoes on the other foot he does nothing?

 

I am starting to hope it is Ward, Froch obviously does want to fight Groves again, this time around Ward has two good arms... let Froch get the beating he deserves.

 

Martinez is bigger in the US than Froch. And since then Chavez has a loss and a dodgy win on his record.

Chavez might still be able to do big numbers in the right fight, but Froch is not big enough for that, especially coming off a dodgy win himself.

I maintain that Chavez v Froch is not a bigger fight than Froch v Groves as things stand.

 

Groves / Froch is the bigger fight. Stadium - full PPV saturation of the UK. Froch takes lions share for dangling the belts.

I don't think Froch really sells in the U.S. and although Chavez Jr has his following, as an event it comes off as perhaps a bit meaningless?

I don't blame Froch for not wanting a rematch though... what a fight to take at 36.

MGM capacity is 16,800.

Froch groves 2 could easily do double that in a stadium, Chavez/GGG vs Froch won't.

 

Because of all the controversy and the "entertainment" of the first fight, Froch Groves 2 would be much bigger than the first one. Casuals are talking about it everywhere. I can imagine America might be a bit more interested now with what happened. I can't see how Chavez would drum up much more money

 

It wouldn't, that's a fact. Anyone saying otherwise is just making excuses in case froch doesn't take the groves rematch.
