you are aware he has no problem with the fight happening in denmark. he just wants a different city cuz it so hard to get to for his UK fans

i do realize that Copenhagen is the capitol of denmark...i'm not the average poster on this forum.

My point is that it should be the choice of the hosting fighter...Froch got that privledge and now doesn't want Kessler to have that same advantage. This has nothing to do with his fans. Just like the his fight his fight with Dirrell had nothing to do with Dirrell's fans.

Taylor didn't just pull out. Everyone around him did what they could to get him out and I think that includes those running tourney buying him out.

Kessler was born in Copenhagen and lives in Monaco...Herning is not "home field" in the true sense of the phrase. Herning is the arse end of nowhere

I am guessing you don't know Kessler was born in Copenhagen so Froch is actually giving Kessler hometown advantage here. I am sure Kessler won't mind changing venues at all, both guys have proven they are willing to fight anyone anywhere.

It was just a response to someone who I felt was insulting my intelligence...maybe not intentionally, but insulting nonetheless.

So why would he choose Herning? Did he in fact choose Herning? Is that what is sparking so much debate from the Froch camp?

I don't believe that I have ever had a fighter I liked so much go to one I hated so much so quickly. After Froch beat taylor, I couldn't wait to see him fight again, I picked him against Kessler in the finals of this tourney, I was excited about him.

then he fought like a shitty thug against Dirrell, and talked about how great he was. His fans came on here like he was the greatest, and just totally turned me on him.

Now he's bitching about what town he's fighting in.

I hope he gets beat badly.

Who knows why Kessler's camp wanted Herning, it's much smaller than Copenhagen and the fight wouldn't draw as many fans, which is why I see this being a non issue. Unless there is some form of financial endorsement by making the fight in Herning, I can't see any reason why both these fighters wouldn't want the fight to take place in the capitol.

Well, if Kessler indeed chose Herning, he must have had a reason...that's my original point. It's his decision to make...not Froch's.

i agree about the largest city in Denmark being the logical location, though.

I couldn't have put it better myself...
I live in Copenhagen but stayed for two years in Herning.

I hope Froch gets his will, I guess if you are german Herning is closer by.

Seems like a reasonable request from Froch. Nobody is going to travel to support him if it's going to take you so long to get there.

If you can get cheap flights from major English cities to Copenhagen then put it on there, pick a big arena and Froch will sell a good load of seats as well.
