Froch retired and then his arrogance got the best of him

I never have cared for Froch's personality but I don't have a problem with any of those statements. There's nothing wrong with him speaking his mind.

 

It's just how Brits act; they love talking $hit. Very surprising, cause they were know for being well mannered and gentlemen, but in reality they are just a bunch of obnoxious, loud mouthed douchebags.

I love Froch as a fighter, very exciting, think he was the best SMW and would of beaten Ward in a rematch in England, but being a Brit, he does have that typical arrogant personality.

 

Froch is clearly following the Lewis path

both butthurt because they know they were scared into retirement by fighters they didn't think they could beat

expect Froch to belittle everything GGG does from now on

just like Lewis does with the Klitschkos

the mark of butthurt

 

Why turn this into a national thing? EVERY country has people like you've mentioned.

Fair play i guess, but as a long time follower of him i just never rated him highly enough for him to justify saying them. but your point still stands.

 

Froch will continue to self promote himself and berate other fighters to attempt to stay relevant in the publics eye.He is delusional and all but admits that Ward is the better fighter and is scared silly by GGG.

 

Lewis didn't rate Vitali much before their fight and still thought he would have always beaten him afterwards, but don't mistake that for Lewis not rating Vitali.

Lewis may have been condescending soon after the fight with Vitali but time has changed his view of Vitali. Lewis has praised the Klits and has said that Vitali was the best of the heavyweights after he retired. He has praised their dominance, praised Vitali's ability and how he came back from injury to perform so well.

 

I assume he is a commentator now. Since we are discussing his comments then he is doing his job very well. I expect those guys to be at least somewhat controversial. Since he has spent his time in the ring, I don't have a problem with him criticizing other boxers. I have a problem with these commentators who never laced up a pair of gloves talking about stuff they have never experienced.

 

Honestly I did not understand the ward comment froch made and also that poll he put up on Facebook when GGG won...honestly it baffelled me... I know for fact he will unretire...

 

I have to agree again. begrudgingly as i still think Frochy is a insecure loudmouth

And to expand on your very good point, it's the one's who have never boxed that overuse the terms like "glass jawed" "tomato can" etc etc

 

We both agree on that point but insecure loudmouths are entitled to their own opinion also. Just as we can place our own value as to what their opinion is worth. Besides, with that loudmouth wife of his, Froch probably doesn't get that much of an opportunity to talk at home so he overdoes it when he gets a chance.

Ok Ok Cslb, would you at least concede he doesn't give credit where due as he is aware of his own limitations? i'm trying to quanitify it another way.
Because when i've seen him ranting he doesnt always seem like he believes himself

 

I didn't care for Froch after the Dirrell fight in which he got what I considered a "hometown decision" and then still had the nerve to act funky about it but I came to the realization that that's just the way he is. I really don't think that Froch is insecure about his boxing abilities, anything else I can't speak on. He has to give Ward respect because Ward kicked his butt with a busted hand but Froch probably believes that he would beat Ward if they fought again. He has to feel that way. Anyone that he hasn't fought, such as Golovkin, he knows that he could beat. A lot of these posters are angry on here because Froch dissed Golovkin. If Froch had dissed Ward and pumped up Golovkin, most of these posters on here criticizing him would be calling him astute. That's just the way it is.

Yeah you are correct the way he fights belief is going to be a huge part of his game.
I am trying really hard to change my view entirely but when he gets up, sticks his chest out in that "my lats are so damn big my arms have to go horizontal" look and uses his boastful tone to trash someone it grinds my gears so much more than others, and i always support my british goons.
I never even mentioned his beef with Zaggers!
Good argument though gave me good perspective. :good
