Froch is not bothered about Calzaghe he was just giving his honest opinion on the Guy. All of a sudden we can not say anything bad about JC because he announced his retirement today.

Froch knows talking **** is not the way to get Calzaghe in the ring, if Joe called his bluff & offered him a fight he would run a mile, he is nowhere near Joe`s level & they both know it.

I didnt... but this isnt a one-off, Froch has been slagging off JC for over a year at every opportunity, instead of concentrating on his next fight. I suppose going after a great champion who knows wouldn't be bothered about fighting him is a good way of making a name for himself.

There is just a fascination with Joe right now, especially, in England. Ok , he is a good fighter, maybe close to great, but, he is no sugar ray leonard or even robinson. They are making him like he is a god or something. Joe's head is bigger than his fuggin' balls.

Are you serious? Of cause Froch would take the fight and he truly believes he would win. JC has an awkward style but he is not unbeatable.

I am glad he has retired because I prefer to watch fighters that actually bring the threat of a KO and not simply trying to win on points by outworking their opponent.

    Calzaghe would outbox Froch.

Froch needs to start focussing on his own career instead of calling out a fighter we all know is too good for him and too big a name for him. Its Witter/Hatton all over again

I think the Froch/Calzaghe situation is more equivalent to the Calzaghe/Collins situation. Calzaghe vacated his title and although he did not retire immediatley he did avoid a domestic rival.

I agree with ya. Froch is looking for a big pay day. That is all.

Like Hatton for a start, he's had the bollocks to fight a P4P number 1 in his prime, and now he's fighting another P4P number 1 in his prime. I couldn't give a **** if he loses both those fights he's man enough to take them - something Slappy could and should have done years ago and chose not to. Slappy made easy money for years with bull**** fights and then had the temerity to say the sport is dying. The mans a **** and he won't be missed, **** Calslappy.

This fight would of been huge in England. I guess Calzaghe felt Froch just wasn't worth it.

    i disagree with that.

calzaghe can't do super middle and went to light heavy.

    froch is a super middle.

so it was a case of :hi:

hops and jones were bigger fights.

froch hadn't even won a version of a title at the time calzaghe boxed those two.

and when he did it was an unproven prospect in pascal.

collins retired after boxing a couple of no names and still seeking the big fights himself.

it's not a comparable situation at all for me. :nono

Fully agree, don't even know how anyone can say Calzaghe ducked Froch :patsch

Froch should just shut the hell up, of course Calz isnt at SRL level, so is every other boxer bar roughly 15.

When Froch gets his resume anywhere close to Calzaghes then he can spout this crap, at the moment hes a paper champ, nothing more.

Which is why I respect Hatton FAR more than I'll ever respect Calslappy. Hatton had the same Warren padded resume but literally forced Warren to get Tszyu for him, won the fight then ****ed Warren and his bull**** off. Calslappy stayed with the easy money for the best part of his career, fought a couple of over the hill fighters and then retired. As I said what really grates is he then had the nerve to say the sport was dead when it's ****s like him that are ****ing killing it. Absolute ****ing wanker.

Hamed deserves more respect than Calslappy too, incidentally.
