Calzaghe detests the english. Froch is a typical english northern ****** who had been talking crap about Calzaghe since way back in 2004.
We already know Froch is to much of a coward to fight Kessler. He will disappear after Taylor wins a shutout.

    :good yup spot on.

If he just gives him a little praise on the day calzaghe retires then I have no problem supporting Froch in the future. He just came on gave a half hearted he has an alright record and proceeded to tear into the alright record and talk about himself and his upcoming fight.

Methinks he is thinking too much of the payday that got away.

Bull****. I honestly can't say I've known one welshmen to genuinely hate the English, or vice versa. There's rivalry between the two people for sure, and plenty of banter, but you really have your head in the clouds if you think there's some kind of hate feud between JC and the English.

As for Froch, I really like the guy but he's got it badly wrong here. I think he was right in criticising Calzaghe for fighting RJJ, but as for JC having no "career defining fight", the wins against Kessler and BHop both fall into that category. Some say Hopkins was past his prime but the subsequent win against a PRIME Pavlik says to me he was still amongst the very elite of the sport.
Don't agree with this. Froch simply hadn't done anything to make him a worthwhile option for Calzaghe, or to give him the right to accuse Calzaghe of avoiding him. You have to bring something more to the table than just happening to share a country of birth!
How about giving his fans one last big fight in Cardiff against a domestic rival for the WBC SMW belt. JC could have at least given his fans a farewell fight.

I think Calzaghe should fight Froch in the millenium stadium in his last ever fight but the winner should get all the money... that way if Froch really is so confident he will take the fight & Joe can get to beat him up with the knowledge that Froch doesnt even get payed for it.

Now thats proper prize fighting... a proper grudge match.

    :yep

Didn't say anything offensive, he's just pointing out what a load of bull**** the media spouts, those two presenters clearly knew nothing at all about Calzaghe or boxing in general. He's right, Calzaghe is no Ray Leonard. what he is is a good fighter with a weak record.

He makes some valid points, and in the end Joe will not be seen as great as the two guys that he beat in his last two fights...Most people came away thinking that Jones and Hopkins would have beatten him in thier primes, not that Joe was in his prime when they fought but he was closer to it then those two were....

Now with that be said it appears that Froch is abit of a green eyed monster here, it seems that he wants to be were Joe is and he maybe thought that the only way of getting there would have been though Joe...Much of the way that Oscar felt he had to beat Chavez...However is a fight with Calzaghe about the same as Calzaghe fighting Jones and Hopkins??? Isnt that what Froch was bitching about???

Joe Calzaghe. Undefeated. Champion 11 years. Hagler got beat. Leanord got beat and stopped Hearns got beat and KTFO and so did Duran. Lets not argue eras lets argue records and legacy. And this tit Froch is good but not that good. He will destroy Taylor who has been KTFO and the rest of a now weak division all except Kessler who will beat him.

I think Froch is fed up with people acting like Calzaghe is the greatest and less bothered about being denied his opportunity to fight him. Froch is just being the voice of reason.
