Eddie Hearn just confirmed it on Twitter.

Hopefully one of Britains best sportsman will start getting the recognition he deserves.

This is great news for Boxing. Now Frank Warren no longer has the monopoly of good fighters & TV deals, it means more pressure to make competitive fights/cards.

"Press release has just been issued. I am delighted to announce the signing of Carl Froch to the Matchroom team. A true great"

Nice. Rees vs Murray doubled with Froch vs Johnson on June 4th on Sky Sports.

I think Matchroom now have the top stable in the UK.

Probably so. Safe to say then that Froch is definetley on Sky now with Mathroom having a Sky contract. Really deserves this does Froch.

I think so. Warren has the prospects but the only one showing progress are Stephen Smith, James DeGale and Liam Walsh. The rest just taking sideways steps.

Froch, Barker, McCloskey are all ticket sellers along with the Evangelou brothers who do phenominal sales in London for prospects.

Rees, Brook are eurpean pushing towards world titles and Purdy is with them. Prizefighter to.

    Next up Tyson Fury!!

Warren might have the better stable but he does nothing with them. 1 show this year Murray vs the Caretaker.

Although I'm pleased with the news and hopefully Froch will get more credit for what he's doing. But I don't really see that this makes too much difference. His next 2 fights are in America anyway and if he manages to win the super six. The 3rd could well be over there or Canada too (I'm thinking Pascal/Hopkins winner). So when's he gonna get this homecoming? If he loses to Ward in the final as many predict, his popularity might well decrease and a homecoming fight even against someone like Kessler, might not be as big as it could've been.

Who knows but hopefully it gets Froch/Johnson on Sky for starters.

Well first of all it 99% guarentees Froch on Sky for Johnson and PPV for Ward in the final. If Khan and Haye fail Froch could be a darkhorse for SPOTY as theres no logial winner at the moment. You will have Matchroom and Sky pushing him like crazy on SSN and at the Snooker, Darts etc. What a turn around that would be.

I would imagine Bute vs Kessler winner would be the next fight. Thats a mega fight and if Froch has Sky Box Office behind him its realistic we get that fight in the UK.

Also if Froch is in the right fights I dont see a loss to Ward being to bad as long as he is competative.

lets hope he keeps it up.

Hennesey, Warren, Hayemaker and Hattons have all had periods of doing good stuff and then gone back to the old ways of **** undercards and **** poor main events.
