Froch speaks: You can’t talk about Golovkin in the same breath as me

Froch - Golovkin was always going to be a tough fight for both fighters, as they admitted.

 

Golovkin brought nothing to the table back then and not wanting to be in there with him when he had one foot in retirement says nothing about what he would have done if Golovkin had came along 5 years earlier.

 

Didn't know Froch was retired when JCC was getting his arse kicked off Fonfara.

Truth is Froch retired after Hearn and K2 had an official agreement to fight at 168, Froch bottled it as he was looking for an easy payday against JCC.

Amazing how Froch couldn't make lesser fighters than Golovkin "go home" as you put it. Froch is the 168 Tony Zale...very good fighter but falls short of the true elite?

 

Amazingly when asked about said quote Froch denied saying it...again he's a compulsive liar.

 

Truth is Froch talked retirement when Golovkin was never in the picture. Chavez was always going to be his last fight. The fight fell through a year before Chavez lost to Fonfara. Your times lines are mixed up all over the place.
Hearn also never had any official agreement to fight Golovkin. You made that up.

 

I will forever be a Froch fan and I'm American. He earned everything in his career. He was never a media creation like triple hype. Triple hype only wants this fight because he thinks Froch is low hanging fruit. Im sticking with my decision should they ever fight that old man Froch will take GGG in deeps waters and KO him. Froch has the heart of a lion and he won't stop coming till Triple hype is stopped. If Murray was able to last 11 rounds, Froch for damn sure will go 12 unless he stops GGG beforehand. Froch came off the biggest fight of his career where all his chips were on the table. DeGale and everybody wanted him. He decided to run off into the sunset. I don't fault him for this statement one bit. He's in a different stratosphere than ggg who just trying to chase paydays off guys like Froch and Manny instead of fighting decent fighters to add to his resume and ducking Ward.

 

I suggest you do your own research, both Hearn and K2 where on record saying everything was in place just waiting on Froch to decide whether to fight on or retire.

I admire Froch too and am a fan, and I also agree that he had every right to retire when he did without "ducking". But it's clear from his comments and from his promoter's comments that he knew GGG was a tough fight.
