"What I will say though is this guy can f*cking punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him. I'll stand by that and I don't give a sh*t."

I agree ref the Chavez fight. Hes not even in the top 10 at 168, what a joke of a match. If your going to go over, fight Ward or dont go over at all.

While I dislike froch and would love to see that fight, can hardlies blame him I think if I was in his situation I would go for Chavez or retire

If that's is truly what he said I can say there's a certain amount of braveness in that. Somewhat of a oxymoron...

Not too brave that he ducks a fighter from a lower weightclass, no matter how good he is.
But at least he's brave enough to admit it, unlike many others who just come up with excuses.

In the most recent edition of Boxing News Froch said about the (GGG) comment:

"It was tongue in cheek back then... What I will say though is this guy can f*cking punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him. I'll stand by that and I don't give a sh*t. But I'll fight anyone. I'll fight Golovkin, of course I would. At Middleweight he's dangerous but you don't know what he's going to be like at super middleweight do you... Having said that, with what I've seen lately, he looks like he can punch at super middle."

Make of that what you will....

Im taking that as if GGG is the only fight he can get in Vegas, he will take it but he would prefer the easier option-Chavez

Top man posting the full quote... Lirva clearly likes to pick and choose what section he plucks from what Froch actually said.

If you honestly think Froch would avoid any fighter then you are letting your dislike of Froch blinker you.

Say what you like about Froch as a person (he can be a dick sometimes) but as a fighter you only have to look at the list of opponents he has fought and where he fought a few of them.

Froch is probably 1 or 2 fights away from away from retirement, I think he deserves a couple of very good paydays.

Also GGG himself said a week ago he is staying at MW because he wants to unify the titles, it is a non starter.

If Froch did fight him and beat him everyone would say "well GGG isn't a super-middle weight and he hasn't beaten any big names"
