Well done Froch, wow what an ending. Had Taylor as favourite, saw a UD win for him pre fight and was looking that way, but Froch deserves huge credit, he went away from home in his first defence and defended the belt in amazing fashion with that finish
Taylor ahead 106-102 on 2 scorecards ... Froch 106-102 on the other one ... all Taylor had to do is survive that round and he would be a champion again.
what a shame ... I don't know if Taylor would be able to live with himself after that ... if Don King was his promoter, he would get that verdict over turned to a ND.
yes, but that's boxing. To win you are supposed to knock the other guy out. If that doesn't happen, then you go to the scorecards, as a back up. But the idea is to stop the other guy. Froch won. Respect.
thats why i say he is going to retire & he is completely done not only is getting knocked out in the 12th round a shitty way to lose... but getting ko'd in the 12th round with 15 seconds to go when you were up on teh score cards is probabyl the worse way to break downs someones confidence esp being that jt is 1-3 in his last four with 2 ko's... vicious t/ko's
Froch's defense continues to be crap. I give him much props for showing his grit and tenacity to work past a rough start and to finish Taylor off when he needed to, but I don't think he'll get past any of the other top 168 lbers. Allen Green would would have his way with him not to mention Kessler or B-Hop if him came down.
