A Lacy pre-Calzaghe would beat Froch quite easily, I think. A Lacy post-Calzaghe would struggle but might still win it...I wouldn't bet on Froch, that's for sure...
Watched last night...very unimpressed I agree with those that thought Reid sneaked a round...Froch seems to have a decent chin but with that left arm slung low he is just asking to be hit with right hands and indeed Reid managed a couple of decent ones on him..hell to be honest i think Reid did the classier work in spurts and Froch merely outworked and outjabbed him throwing the odd decent shot... The first knockdown was a joke as well...who is this Froch character to be calling out JC? A poor performance over a shot Reid and he thinks hes worthy of a performance against an all time great with only a few fights left ? Ludicrous.
I just saw the fight. What a joke that was. Reid taking a knee without actualy getting hit. The other two times he took a knee he wasn't even hit by anything significant. Then he quits at the fifth round. WTF?! :blood
i don't get why nelson and co were repeatedly referring to froch being "fast". "like a piston" i believe was the phrase they kept using. i've always thought frochs best attributes were his timing, power and accuracy. not speed.
It's the end of the line for Carl and he knows it...2008 will be the defining year of his career - he will either swim or sink...
they are trying to play up to the "cobra" nickname i think a creature which is not only has excellent timing but is fast and of course deadly
They probably say those things to still be a In a job. If they were too honest, then the promotors will be complaining to the TV bosses.
Any idea who James Slater is? Does he post here? "Tonight's performance certainly did nothing to suggest that Froch is unable to live up to his boasts." http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=13195&more=1 atsch
