Paulie Malignaggi did lose to that Artem Lobov in a bare knuckle fight so it just shows you what being old and retired can do when you come up against a bigger, fresher, younger and still active man. But that is a totally feather fisted Malignaggi with a stick and move style which was all wrong for a bareknuckle brawl. And while someone like Lobov may be a total scrub compared to the level Malignaggi once competed at, he is still a pro-fighter with a reputation for his toughness. He's no white collar fighter, that's for certain.

A better comparison would be to look at what an ageing, well past his best Bert Cooper did to that bare knuckle fighter, or how a distinctly average LHW pro like Johnny Waldren sparked out Lenny McLean in the first round in an unlicensed bout, despite giving away a massive amount of size.

So if you want to fight Lee Froch, fair enough, but any white collar fighter, heavyweight or not, who thinks they would stand any chance against a beast like Carl Froch just because he's retired and now over 40, would be in for a massive reality check.

No way in hell any amateur/white collar/low level pro beats Carl Froch, not now or in the next ten years.

bare knuckle just means he beats the living **** out of you even faster.

there’s levels to this game. I remember my mate was a middleweight amateur, boxing all his life, couldn’t kick a football but was handy as hell. In sparring he would make heavyweights look silly.

On the flip side I was 6-0 amateur 20 years old, thought I was mayweather until my trainers 14 year old son gave me a good hiding one sparring session! Little **** lol

I've been in with some pros. I got robbed against that Jordan Thompson who's 10-0 as a pro now and was sparring Tyson Fury. If Lee Froch takes it we will see. There's a reason Carl Froch never moved up in weight.
