I can buy it. My point was that Froch is similar in many ways to Andrade, but more skilled than Andrade. Both Kessler and Bute should be able to box Froch's ears off, but if Bute's stamina fades like it did against Andrade, then Froch would have a better chance of knocking out Bute than Andrade did.

Also, I don't remember seeing Berrio catch Bute clean on the chin. Sure, he took some shots from Berrio, and I agree that Berrio is a massive puncher, but I don't think Bute got caught at any point in that fight.

Froch and Andrade are so different! All Andrade's game rely on the strategy of tiring his opponents. He charges his opponents, hitting anywhere, always coming forward. He doesn't box them. Froch doesn't tire anybody, his tempo is not so fast, he doesn't clinch and doesn't push. Bute would never be tired against Froch.

Yes the division is alive, all competitive matchups, but all very average fighters/champs.

Can you imagine any of these guys fighting in the Era of

    Nunn, toney,Jones, Mcullum, Benn etc?

Froch has got some skills, but he is taking a big step up in class against taylor, provided taylor brings his a game.

Problem I see with froch is, despite his boxing ability, he wants to stand and trade with everyone, instead of boxing to a plan. Sooner or later, this lack of strategy which he routinely displays is going to get him dropped on his fanny. He needs to stop believing the hype, and go back to basics. I'm confident that if he did go back to basics, and got a decent strategist in his camp, we would be looking at someone who could make some pretty serious noise in the smw's.

It's something special to reed all you guys that think Fraud would kick Taylor, Bute, Andrade, Bika and Kessler's ass if they were ever to fight....

Fraud never fought anybody worth mentionning ( at least close to the Top 10 ) and he had his hands full with Pascal, so, how in hell can you guys think he's in any way better then those guys he keeps on calling....

My guess is that they are all affraid of his uppercut....:patsch

This thread is four pages old and nearly every poster makes Taylor a favourite over Froch, all those who have commented make Bute a favourite to beat Froch and nobody so far has suggested that Froch beats Kessler.

Who are you talking to?! :?

I'm just in the wrong thread, read the other one before.

Carl Froch - The man you love to hate.

    Sorry, my mistake...

froch holds a belt, and is aiming at the other beltholders, whether or not he is good enough to beat them is, for me, really is besides the point.

What really matters is the fact, he wants to unify. He talks a good game, and even if i doubt his abilty ,as a boxer at world class level, i certainly dont doubt his willingness, to square of against the best. An admirable quality in a fighter.

props to Froch if he wants the big fights!

But he doesn't really have the choice at 32 years old there no time to waste!
Im really not sure hell keep his belt too long! he's definetly a top 10 but now hes talking to face the top 5 ! we'll see !

I always find it funny when people talk about the supossed indestructible chin of Froch
ya it been hit in the fight with Pascal but Jean didnt really have the one punch power and didnt caught him flush , and when i watch Froch resume i don't see so much threat to test its chin. Maybe he got an iron one but IMO he never been test likes some people like to say!

Anyway win or loose he bring something to the division.
