why do all the yanks have a go at euro fighters for not coming over to the states, when no US fighters go to europe. 9/10 there would be more money in fighting in england or germany. calzaghe hopkins would have done 70,000 tickets in the UK, in US it got 5,000 and 4,999 were from the UK.

Froch bs taylor will get 30,000 in the uk and 5,000 in the us. abraham vs pavlik would get 50,000 in germany, will get max 10,000 in the US. hatton vs pac will get 100,000 in the uk, 20,000 in the us.

it makes no sense, no matter what fee the casinos or HBO would pay.

thanks for the info Max. Whats your source?

also, i think that having it so soon is a good thing. I can see a Froch vs Kessler fight materializing since Taylor will likely drop his status as mandatory challenger.

    I thought HBO wanted Taylor/Winky?

Leaving Froch with either Bute, or a beating from Kessler.

its a good thing the purse bids are soon.
    no long drawn out negotiations.

i do not beleive team taylor are really intrested.

but then again except for kessler , i dont see where team taylor are going at the moment, its hard to fathom.

could be good but it will be hard to come to terms on a purse split

whatever Taylor's next move is, it will be interesting. Personally i think Kessler is too big a step up in class for Taylor who is still on the comebakc trail

the cheapest tickets for Pac vs Hatton are almost 400$ so it evens out.

Thats the problem. Most amerikans prefers to see their own fighters. You cant really blame them. If it sells more pvp it makes sense.

HBO only put in 15% of the kessler v calzaghe pot, they did not lose on the fight.

they got low ratings , but budget wise they put litlle in so could not have been a financial disaster.

dlh gave the casino more back money wise for the hopkins v calzaghe poor ticket sales to americans than hbo paid for the whole calzaghe v kessler bill.

dawsonis not really in the money.
he simply cannot draw fans .

tarver v dawson drew a few hundred fans to the casino

we are talking york hall figures here.

long way to vegas to watch dawson for his fans you might think, but dawson had a world title fight in his own backyard v ruiz and drew even less , just a few people watching.

while us on the internet recognise his talent and abilty , american fans simply do not turn out more than a few hundred to actually watch him fight.

and if you do not put bums on seats tv starts to lose intrest, no matter how good you are.

if froch or kessler fought dawson, dawsons fans would be outnumberd by usherettes.
