Some seem to think Carl Froch beat Jermain Taylor by pulling a victory out of his ass in the 12th round, as if it were a fluke. All three judges had it 106-102 going into the 12th, for Taylor, which was a little biased. The English reporter scoring the fight ringside had it even after 10. The American press had it for Taylor. If Taylor swept the first six rounds, then Froch swept the last six...give or take a round either way. Each guy had a 10-8 round. The correct scores the slightly biased judges had in this were a couple rounds off, it should have been close to a draw going into the 12th, easily. The momentum shifted at least as early as the 6th round. Froch is quite lucky to not have had a biased ref in Mike Ortega, who reffed the fight very professionally. And the timing of the stoppage was PERFECT and clearly justified. A biased ref could have bailed Taylor out of that fight.
