Without question Pascal gave Froch his "toughest fight". Dirrell may punch harder thn Pascal did at 168 but the Froch-Pascal fight was a war, they spent all night punching each other.

The Pascal who fought Froch and the Pascal who fought Diaconu (1rst fight) where two different fighters. In the fight with Froch, Pascal looked limited in speed and reach. I don't think he looked like an elite boxer than. But in the 1st against Diaconnu, he looked really slick and his punches were more fluid. Did he have to loose to much weigt against Froch?

I am eager to see how he looks like against Dawson. For sure he has a chance. But his shoulder has been an issue for years now...

Pascal is the toughest fighter Froch has met. I believed that before Froch answered the question.

Jean Pascal's one of the tougher fighters out there today, that quality just doesn't get hyped the way it does for others.

I'm glad to hear that being a Pascal fan. If he used the right gameplan he would've beaten Froch but I give Froch full credit for that win. Great fight.

Dirrel ****ing threw himself on the floor everytime Froch came close to him. I am getting tired with people saying Dirrel put on a masterclass!

Also you don't seem to understand the difference between the toughest fighter and best fighter.

No shame whatsoever losing your first title fight- Jean took the loss, learned from it, and made good against Diaconu in another great fight his second go around for a title. His heart and toughness really don't get enough credit IMO. He showed plenty of both in the Diaconu fights, particularly the rematch when he was fighting with essentially one good arm.

This. He dislocated his arm I think twice but still managed to pull off the win. That guy has no quits in him and is fast & explosive. Someone needs to put a working version of all of Diaconu-Pascal 2 on utube.

Dirrell is a coward and a cheat. Great actor!

I think both Froch and Kessler have been honest. The fights with Pascal and Andrade were hard nights.

I wouldn't call someone who gets in the ring with Abraham a coward. Actor, maybe but coward nope.

I agree with this part. Rounds 11 and 12 Dirrell decided to fight and actually came of better than Froch which is what made the fight so much more frustrating from a Dirrell fans perspective.

Dirrell is to blame for losing the fight and allowing it to be so ambiguous because he clearly whooped Froch in the last two rounds when he showed some balls and stood with him.

Of course I beleive him , the Pascal fight was insane. Jean made a lot of brits fans that night , it was almost Benn - Eubank like in its ferocity.

Just think if Carl hadn't buzzed JP with that shot early on it could have become a counter punching bore but thank **** it didnt.

No surprise that Pascal has gone on to a championship ( I think he'll take Dawson too )
