    Great news if it turns out to be true.

    - If Kessler gets that WBO belt in November, as most would expect
    - he then fights Bute for the IBF strap
    - A perfect situation whereby the WBA/WBC champion from the Super 6 is awaiting
    - We have a unified champion
    - But this won't happen.

    the Super Six will be the no. 1 SMW forever and ever; no one will have the right to challenge them for the next 100 years;

    as i understood when Showtime signed Bute both partie agreed that if Bute remains undefetead and keeps his belt, he's is going to face the Super Six winner in Madison Square Garden NYC

    If things go as I hope they will, I would have Bute against the S6 winner, whoever it is, and 2 more fights against the looser of S6 and Kessler. After that, we will have the real picture about the #1 spot at SMW. I could also like Dirrell, if he's cleared to fight, to fight Bute. After those, my guess is that Bute will go up to LHW and face Pascal A.S.A.P. Because, there is no room for 2 champs in Montreal.....just kidding!:bbb

    I think it's gonna be great.

    Neen mulling this over, Showtime signed bute for a reason and even if that reason is preserve till a winner is announced, he's still in a high profile enough fight now with Johnson to grab people's interest.

    Showtime are clearly going to force the s6 winner to unify with bute plus the WBC are likely to mandate a unification with kessler (does the emeritus thing still hold up if kessler beats stieglitz?)

    either way with these fights and the backdrop of pavlik, dirrell, groves and de gale, the division doesn't look like cooling down any time soon.

    To me it shouldn't matter if Bute fight the S6 winner first and then Kessler, or Kessler first and then the S6 winner.

    Why does that matter?

    Bute has an obligation to fight Ward when Showtime agreed to sign him and whoever wins has an obligation to fight Kessler because he is Emeritus champ - so first or last doesn't matter to me... the fights WILL happen either way.

    This fight must be made but you're telling it like the super 6 winner has more something to prove than Bute. No, it's Bute who has to prove he's better than the winner cause let's be honest, he hasn't had any elite level opponent so far, I think we all agree on that point.

    I still want to see Bute win against Froch, Kessler or Diroadrunner. That would set-up a fight with Ward perfectly.
